3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base as a single unit directly onto the foundation, carefully insert wedge-shaped shims beneath it to achieve ideal leveling.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner. Once the unit is precisely leveled, secure the wedges with spot welds at 4 to 5 points. These wedges should be
made and installed by the user based on specific conditions. Ensure the contact surface is meticulously finished to guarantee even contact of the inclined plane, with
the bearing capacity of each wedge iron not exceeding 40Kg/cm².2).
3.3.2 Employ a level instrument to ascertain precision. The stringent leveling criteria of the unit are: an axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm,
and a horizontal level precision of 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is centered accurately. Prior to commencing alignment procedures, comply with the following essential prerequisites:
1) Disconnect the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Disengage the protective coupling shield;
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Check for a flawlessly flat motor installation plane, free from any foreign debris, dirt, or attachments;
5) Ensure that the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size, facilitating looseness for motor alignment adjustments;
6) Have a sufficient supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor, ensuring they are devoid of attachments and maintain a flawless flatness. Avoid using elongated thin gaskets for motor-to-base adjustments;
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy, to be sourced by the customer;
8) Prepare the necessary bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket assists in affixing a dial indicator to the wheel hub's edge and aligning the probe with the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub;
10) By finely tuning the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, you can align the compressor and motor centerlines with utmost precision, with the maximum allowable outer circle deviation being 0.05mm. It is crucial for the motor shaft center line to be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, maintaining a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Upon completion, securely tighten the motor foot bolts and re-evaluate both the outer circle runout and the end face runout for impeccable alignment;;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once the casing's 'levelness' and alignment are finely tuned, secure the anchor bolts. After the compressor undergoes mechanical operation (or trial run), it is imperative to loosen and re-tighten these bolts for optimal stability.
3.3.5 Given that the impeller operates at high speeds, the ingress of any solid or liquid can cause irreversible harm. Thus, it is vital to ensure that the pipelines connecting to the compressor are pristine and conform to the required steam corrosion standards. Pipelines not meeting these standards must be rectified. Consider implementing solid-liquid separation devices, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor's inlet straight pipe for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure the import and export pipelines are equipped with the necessary accessories as per the PI diagram. The connecting pipeline's weight should be supported by an independent bracket, and not the compressor body itself, to prevent undue strain.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its associated equipment are meticulously installed, and the concrete has thoroughly solidified, you can proceed with the operational testing of the compressor. 3.3.8 To ensure seamless integration and optimal functionality, the electric control cabinet should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connection from the compressor to this control cabinet requires threading pipes that are routed underground. Once the control cabinet is securely in place, link the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) for a flawless connection.
