3.3.1 Begin by carefully positioning the compressor base as a whole atop the foundation. To achieve perfect alignment, strategically place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base. These wedges are essential for adjusting the unit to an optimal level.
Arrange the wedges alternately, ensuring a stable setup. Once you've achieved the desired leveling, proceed to spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 key points, securing their position.
The manufacturing and installation of these wedges should be tailored to your specific environment. Ensure the contact surface is precisely finished for even contact on inclined planes.
The bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed 40Kg/cm2). This ensures stability and efficiency.
3.3.2 Utilize a level to confirm the unit's precision. It is crucial that the unit's axial level remains within 0.05/1000mm and the horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm to ensure seamless operation.
Adhering to these specifications guarantees optimal compressor performance.
3.3.3 Centering the coupling is a meticulous process. Before embarking on this alignment, ensure the following steps are completed:
1) Disable the main power supply to prevent accidental activations;
2) Remove the coupling shield for unobstructed access;
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling, allowing for thorough inspection;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for debris or foreign material, ensuring a pristine surface;
5) The motor bolt holes must be larger than the bolts themselves, facilitating adjustments as needed;
6) Amass an adequate number of stainless steel gaskets to underlay the motor feet. Ensure these gaskets are free from debris and are perfectly flattened. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for fine adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm. It is recommended that the customer provides this tool for exact alignment;
8) Prepare a supporting bracket for the dial indicator, as depicted in the accompanying illustration;
9) The motor wheel hub mounting bracket facilitates the positioning of a dial indicator on the hub edge, enabling precise probing of the compressor's wheel hub outer edge.
10) Adjust the bolts surrounding the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines. Ensure the maximum deviation does not exceed 0.05mm for the outer circle (with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line). The coupling end face should have a deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Once aligned, securely fasten the motor foot bolts and carefully review the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Conclude with the installation of the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of levelness and alignment, it is imperative to tighten the anchor bolts. After initial or trial operation, these bolts should be loosened and re-tightened to maintain secure and precise positioning.
3.3.5 The impeller, operating at high speed, is sensitive to solid or liquid intrusions which can inflict irreversible damage. To prevent such occurrences, ensure that the compressor's inlet and outlet pipelines are immaculate and conform to the steam corrosion grading standards of the system. Pipelines that fail to meet these standards require immediate rectification.It is advisable to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the straight segment at the compressor inlet for added protection.
3.3.6 For the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes, ensure all relevant pipeline accessories are integrated according to the PI diagram. The pipeline connected to the compressor must be independently supported by an additional bracket, as its weight must not burden the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary apparatus are perfectly fitted, and the concrete has achieved complete solidity, the stage is set for the commencement of the compressor operation test. This crucial step marks the transition from installation to operational validation.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet, an essential nexus of the compressor system, must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. This proximity ensures optimal operational synergy. To establish a seamless connection, utilize threading pipe to guide the wiring underground from the compressor to the control cabinet. Upon installation of the electric control cabinet, it is imperative to meticulously connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless communication link for comprehensive control.
