MVR, or Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is an innovative and energy-efficient technology designed to minimize reliance on external energy sources by harnessing and reusing the secondary steam energy it produces. The core principle involves compressing the secondary steam generated by the evaporator using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The increased temperature and pressure enable the secondary steam to return to the evaporator, where it effectively heats materials and induces evaporation. This ingenious cycle permits the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization from the secondary steam, offering a sustainable and cost-effective solution for energy conservation.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an advanced system comprising key components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electronic instruments, and an anti-surge control system. Installation Instructions

3.3.1 Begin by securely placing the compressor base integrally onto the foundation. Use wedge-shaped shims underneath the base to finely tune and adjust the unit's level with precision.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons to achieve optimal leveling. Once the unit is perfectly level, proceed to spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. The wedge irons
must be crafted and installed in accordance with the unique circumstances on site, ensuring that the contact surfaces are meticulously finished for even contact along the inclined plane. The
capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed a robust capacity of 40Kg/cm
2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain the unit's level. The requirements are stringent: the axial level of the unit should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should stand at 0.10/1000mm for impeccable alignment.

3.3.3 Centering the coupling is crucial. Before proceeding with alignment, ensure the following essential steps are completed:
1) Disconnect the main power supply to guarantee safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield to allow for unimpeded access;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor installation plane for any debris, contaminants, or attachments that could compromise flatness;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are adequately large to accommodate bolt adjustments, facilitating motor alignment;
6) Stock up on stainless steel gaskets to secure the motor's footing. These must be devoid of attachments and sufficiently flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets that might interfere between the motor and base;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an exceptional accuracy of 0.01mm, as prepared by the customer;
8) Set up the supportive bracket for the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying illustration;

9) Use a motor hub-mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, ensuring the probe accurately contacts the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By making precise adjustments to the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines. The outer circle deviation must not exceed 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Ensure coupling end face deviations are within 0.03~0.05mm;

11) Upon achieving alignment, securely tighten the motor foot bolts, and re-evaluate both the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idle test.
3.3.4 Once the casing 'levelness' and alignment are verified, tighten the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical operation or trial, release and re-tighten them to ensure steadfastness.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed marvel, and any intrusion by solids or liquids can inflict irreversible harm on the compressor. It's paramount to keep inlet/outlet pipelines pristine and compliant with the system's steam corrosion grade. Pipelines failing this standard must be amended without delay. It's strongly
advised to incorporate solid-liquid separation apparatus, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, just before the compressor inlet's straight pipe to prevent potential damage.
3.3.6 Fit the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with utmost precision. Ensure all import and export pipelines are equipped with appropriate accessories as per the PI diagram. The pipelines should be independently supported by separate brackets, preventing undue weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all related auxiliary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has fully set to ensure stability, you are ready to proceed with the crucial compressor operation test. This step is essential to verify that all components are functioning flawlessly and ready for optimal performance.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor for seamless operation. Ensure that the wiring from the compressor to this cabinet is expertly threaded through an underground pipe to protect against environmental factors. After securely positioning the electric control cabinet, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a reliable and efficient communication and control system.
