The direct compression heat pump distillation is a cutting-edge approach where the tower top vapor phase becomes the fundamental working fluid. By employing an external steam compressor, it significantly boosts the energy level of the vapor phase, transforming it into a high-temperature heat source for the tower bottom reboiler. This advanced method is particularly effective for separation systems characterized by small temperature differentials and closely matched boiling points between the tower top and bottom, as depicted in the accompanying illustration.
The centrifugal compressor, integral to heat pump distillation, is meticulously designed with components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 Gracefully position the compressor base onto the foundation. Employ wedge-shaped shims under the base to ensure precise level adjustments.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately and, once the unit's level is perfected, spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 points to secure stability.
These wedges must be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions, ensuring a flawless contact of the inclined plane.
The capacity of the wedge iron must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ensure the unit’s exactitude. Leveling specifications: axial level—0.05/1000mm; horizontal level—0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Center the coupling. Ensure the following before alignment:
1) Deactivate the main power supply;
2) Detach the coupling shield;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane’s flatness, ensuring it is free from debris or attachments;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes for ease of adjustment;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets for motor footing, ensuring they are flat without attachments. Avoid inserting long, thin gaskets between the motor and base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy, arranged by the customer;
8) Prepare the bracket as depicted in the diagram for dial indicator support;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for dial indicator placement on the compressor wheel hub’s edge.
10) Adjust motor foot bolts to align compressor and motor center lines, ensuring the outer circle deviation is 0.05mm and end face deviation is 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten motor foot bolts, and verify the coupling's outer circle and end face runouts.;
12) Post motor idling test, install the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post alignment adjustments, firmly tighten anchor bolts. After mechanical or trial operations, reassess and retighten.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, must be safeguarded from solids or liquids that can inflict irreversible damage. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine, adhering to steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification.It is advisable to install solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, preceding the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. All import/export pipelines should incorporate pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram, supported independently to prevent weight load on the compressor.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all associated equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has fully cured, it's time to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial phase ensures the readiness and optimal performance of the system.
3.3.8 The positioning of the electric control cabinet for the compressor is vital. Ensure it is strategically placed within 5 meters of the compressor. The connection from the compressor to this control cabinet should be expertly managed by threading the wiring through underground pipes. Once the control cabinet is securely positioned, make sure to seamlessly connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, guaranteeing flawless communication and control.
