The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is an innovative engineering marvel, encompassing a range of sophisticated components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This remarkable apparatus boasts a compact and thoughtfully designed structure, ensuring that maintenance is straightforward and hassle-free.
3.3.1 Place the compressor base meticulously on its designated foundation. Employ wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for impeccable leveling. These serve the critical role of adjusting the unit's level.
Skillfully alternate the positioning of two wedge-shaped irons. After achieving precision leveling, expertly spot weld the wedges at 4~5 strategic points. Each wedge must be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific scenario. Ensure the contact surfaces are finely finished, providing uniform contact of the inclined
plane. It is essential that the bearing capacity of each wedge iron remains within a maximum of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain impeccable leveling. The unit demands precise leveling, with the axial level maintained at a flawless 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level must not exceed a precision of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Attain perfect coupling alignment. Before embarking on this task, ensure the following preparatory steps:
1) Securely disconnect the main power supply;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield with care;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, or any attachments;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts to allow easy loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Gather ample stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's foot. Ensure they are clean, flat, and free from any attachments. Refrain from using elongated, thin gaskets for insertion adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter boasting 0.01mm accuracy (customer-provided);
8) Prepare a robust bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated in the subsequent figure;
9) Employ a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to firmly position a dial indicator on the wheel hub’s edge, with the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By expertly adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines to perfection, ensuring outer circle deviation is no more than 0.05mm. The motor shaft center line should be slightly elevated compared to the compressor low-speed shaft center line, with coupling end face precision of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then meticulously review both the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Precisely reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Upon achieving optimal leveling and alignment of the casing, diligently fasten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operations or trial runs, loosen, then re-tighten the bolts for enhanced stability.
3.3.5 With the impeller being a rapidly rotating component, any solid or liquid intrusion could inflict irreversible damage upon the compressor. It is imperative that the inlet and outlet pipelines interfacing with the compressor are thoroughly clean and adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Non-compliant pipelines necessitate immediate rectification. It is highlyrecommended to integrate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, strategically before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor’s inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure these pipelines are appropriately fitted with relevant accessories as per the PI diagram. Crucially, the weight of the pipelines should be borne by an alternative support bracket, not the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its associated equipment is complete, and the concrete foundation has fully solidified, you can initiate the compressor operation test. This step marks a pivotal moment, ensuring that everything is in place and ready for action, setting the stage for optimal performance and efficiency.
3.3.8 It is crucial to place the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a distance of 5 meters from the compressor itself. Ensure that the wiring connecting the compressor to this cabinet is securely threaded through an underground pipe. Once the cabinet is positioned correctly, proceed to link the wiring terminals inside the electric control cabinet with the remote DCS lines. This connection is vital for seamless and effective operational control.
