The Oil-film High-Speed Direct Drive Steam Compressor represents cutting-edge turbine technology, incorporating a highly efficient permanent magnet motor. Key to its advanced design is the direct installation of the impeller at the motor's shaft extension. The rotor is seamlessly supported by an oil film bearing, enabling direct drive through the high-speed motor. Notably, this design eliminates the need for a speed-increasing gearbox and coupling, thereby enhancing operational reliability and reducing maintenance needs. This sophisticated engineering feat ensures optimal performance and positions it as a superior choice in industrial steam compression applications.
3.3.1 Position the compressor base seamlessly onto the prepared foundation. Introduce wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precise leveling;
carefully alternate two wedge-shaped irons. Once perfectly leveled, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points. The wedges should
be custom-fabricated and installed by the user, tailored to their specific conditions. Ensure the contact surfaces are finely finished for even
distribution (the inclined plane must fully engage) with a maximum bearing capacity of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ensure perfect alignment. Adhere to these rigorous standards: the axial level precision must be 0.05/1000mm,
while the horizontal alignment must achieve 0.10/1000mm, guaranteeing optimal performance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with utmost accuracy. Before beginning, ensure these prerequisites are met:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield for full visibility and access;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring freedom from debris, dirt, and unwanted attachments;
5) Confirm that the motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts, allowing for easy loosening and motor adjustment;
6) Have a supply of stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor's foot. These gaskets must be attachment-free and perfectly flat;
avoid inserting long, thin gaskets between the motor and base. Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment tool with 0.01mm precision, provided by the customer;
8) Have a bracket ready to support the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator to the wheel hub's edge, with the probe positioned on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By fine-tuning the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor centerlines. The maximum deviation for the outer circle should not exceed 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft centerline is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft centerline, with the coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then carefully recheck the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 After achieving impeccable leveling and alignment of the casing, fasten the anchor bolts. Post-operation (or trial operation), loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure enduring stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed marvel; any intruding solid or liquid risks catastrophic damage. Ensure the compressor's inlet and outlet connections are pristine, adhering to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines immediately. It's highly recommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, upstream of the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Adorn these pipelines with the necessary accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. Ensure the piping linked to the compressor is independently supported, preventing undue stress on the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its ancillary equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has fully solidified, you can proceed with the highly anticipated compressor operation test. This ensures the readiness and reliability of the system for high-performance outcomes.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The wiring, essential for seamless operation, should be expertly connected using threading pipes that are laid underground for durability and safety. Following the placement of the electric control cabinet, ensure that the wiring terminals inside are meticulously connected to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), guaranteeing optimal control and efficiency.
