3.3.1 Begin by positioning the robust compressor base integrally onto the prepared foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to meticulously adjust and level the unit.
Strategically place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner. Once the unit achieves perfect leveling, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons securely at 4 to 5 points.
These wedges should be custom-manufactured and installed by the user, tailored to the specific site circumstances, ensuring an evenly finished contact surface.
The inclined plane must maintain even contact, with the wedge iron's bearing capacity strictly not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ascertain the unit’s level with exactitude. Adhere to the defined leveling criteria: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
These stringent standards ensure optimal performance and longevity.
3.3.3 Ensure precise coupling alignment, pivotal for efficient operation. Before initiating alignment, verify the following crucial prerequisites:
1) Disengage the main power supply completely;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the middle section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane rigorously, ensuring it's free from debris, dirt, and any attachments;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes, facilitating bolt loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to perfectly cover the motor’s foot. Gaskets must be free from attachments and impeccably flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and base.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment tool with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which must be customer-provided;
8) Arrange the appropriate bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the diagram below;
9) Mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub bracket, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub’s outer edge;
10) By adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines, ensuring a maximum deviation of 0.05mm. The motor shaft’s center line must be slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then review both the outer circle runout and the coupling's end face runout for precision;
12) Conclude by reinstalling the coupling’s intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once the unit's 'levelness' and alignment have been adjusted, tighten the anchor bolts. After initial mechanical or trial operations, loosen and retighten the bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 Recognize the impeller as a high-speed rotating element. Any intrusion of solids or liquids can inflict irreversible damage. Hence, it's imperative to keep inlet and outlet pipelines pristinely clean, compliant with the system's steam corrosion standards. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines promptly. It is prudent to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the straight pipe leading to the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes meticulously. Ensure that import and export pipelines integrate appropriate accessories as specified in the PI diagram. The compressor itself should never bear the weight of the connected pipelines; instead, these should be supported by independent brackets.
3.3.7 Upon the successful installation of the main fan and its auxiliary equipment, and after the concrete has fully solidified, it is time to proceed with the compressor operation test. This step ensures that everything is functioning at optimal performance levels.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet for the compressor within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Utilize threading pipes to connect the wiring from the compressor to the cabinet, ensuring these pipes run seamlessly underground. After securing the electric control cabinet in its designated place, proceed to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, thereby establishing an efficient and robust communication link.
