3.3.1 Gracefully position the compressor base on its foundation. Slip a wedge-shaped shim beneath the base for smooth unit leveling.
Alternately arrange two wedge-shaped irons. After achieving perfect alignment, perform spot welding on the wedge irons at 4~5 strategic points.
Craft and position the wedge components based on real conditions. Ensure an impeccable contact surface—smooth and even for optimal performance.
Note that the wedge iron should bear no more than 40Kg/cm², adhering to precise strength guidelines.2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to meticulously achieve precision. The axial level must meet 0.05/1000mm, and horizontal level should be 0.10/1000mm.
Maintain these rigorous standards for optimal functionality and efficiency.
3.3.3 Centering the coupling is crucial. Ensure these prerequisites are met prior to alignment:
1) Disconnect the primary power source to ensure safety.
2) Dismantle the coupling shield for convenient access.
3) Carefully detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section.
4) Inspect the motor installation plane’s flatness—ensure no debris or attachments.
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt dimensions to allow flexibility for motor adjustments.
6) Gather ample stainless steel gaskets to support the motor feet—gaskets must be clean and flat. Avoid using long or slim gaskets.
7) Use a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (customer supplied).
8) Arrange the bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying diagram.
9) Utilize a motor wheel hub bracket for dial indicator placement; position the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust motor foot bolts to align compressor and motor center lines; the permissible outer circle deviation is 0.05mm.
11) Secure motor foot bolts firmly, then verify coupling’s outer circle runout and end face runout for accuracy.;
12) Post motor idle test, integrate the coupling's intermediate section seamlessly.
3.3.4 Post alignment, anchor bolts must be tightened. Following mechanical evaluation, release and retighten bolts for utmost security.
3.3.5 Impellers operate at high speed, thus any solid or liquid intrusion can damage the compressor. Ensure cleanliness and required steam corrosion levels for connected pipelines.Solid-liquid separation tools like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees are recommended before the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Attach the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for accessory installation, supporting connected pipelines independently.
3.3.7 Once the main fan, along with its essential ancillary equipment, has been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidification, you are ready to proceed with the exciting phase of the compressor operation test. This is a crucial step to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor strategically within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Ensure that the wiring journey from the compressor to the electric control cabinet is seamlessly facilitated through neatly arranged threading pipes, discreetly installed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is firmly in place, skillfully connect the wiring terminals inside with the strategic lines at the remote DCS for a flawless integration.
