The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is a marvel of engineering precision, primarily constructed of a meticulously designed compressor body, featuring essential components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Complementing this assembly are the coupling, motor, and an array of advanced electric instruments, each part intricately contributing to the compressor's superior performance. This comprehensive design ensures unparalleled efficiency and reliability, making it a cornerstone in modern steam compression technology.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be carefully and precisely positioned on the foundation. Introduce wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to facilitate a fine-tune level of the unit.
Position two alternating wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points, ensuring stability and support.
The user is tasked with manufacturing and installing the wedge, crafted to fit the actual requirements with a finished contact surface for an even grip on the inclined plane.
The wedge iron should maintain a bearing capacity not exceeding an impressive 40Kg/cm.2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain precision alignment of the unit. Adhere to leveling criteria: axial level precision at 0.05/1000mm, with a horizontal level fixed at 0.10/1000mm.
The calibration should meet these specific measurements for optimal performance and longevity.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is meticulously centered by meeting the following pre-alignment criteria:
1) Deactivate the main power source to ensure safety during adjustments;
2) Remove the protective cover of the coupling for unhindered access;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Assess motor installation plane flatness, ensuring a pristine, debris-free surface for optimal alignment;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes surpass bolt size, permitting necessary bolt loosening for motor adjustment;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets on hand to fully support the motor feet. Ensure they are immaculate and flat, avoiding the use of long, thin gaskets for fine adjustments;
7) Utilize a precision dial indicator or a laser alignment meter, accurate to 0.01mm, as part of customer-prepared tooling;
8) Secure a sturdy bracket for dial indicator support, as illustrated in the figure below;
9) The motor hub mounting bracket should support a dial indicator affixed to the wheel hub edge, with the probe engaging the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Carefully adjust the motor foot's adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines accurately, managing the deviation to a maximum of 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated relative to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Maintain a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude by firmly tightening the motor foot bolts, then re-evaluate the coupling's circular runout and end face runout.;
12) Following an idling test of the motor, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section, ensuring a seamless operational fit.
3.3.4 Post alignment and casing level adjustments, firmly secure the anchor bolts. After a successful mechanical or trial operation, release and retighten bolts to maintain integrity.
3.3.5 As the high-speed impeller is crucial, shield it from foreign solids or liquids, which could cause irreversible damage. Ensure connecting inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and meet system steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require rectification. We recommend installing solid-liquid separation devices (e.g., gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes, equipping them with relevant PI diagram-specified pipeline accessories. Ensure the connected pipes are supported independently, avoiding the compressor body for weight management.
3.3.7 With the main fan and auxiliary equipment securely installed and concrete fully cured, initiate the compressor operation test, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
