3.3.1 The compressor base is to be placed integrally on the foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately, ensuring precise leveling of the unit, then spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 points for secure installation. The wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user based on the current circumstances, with contact surfaces meticulously finished for uniform contact of the inclined
plane. Ensure that the bearing capacity of each wedge iron does not exceed the robust limit of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain exact leveling. The stringent leveling standards for the unit require the axial level precision to be 0.05/1000mm, with the horizontal
level precision maintained at 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Attain perfect coupling alignment. Prior to commencing alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are satisfied:
1) Disable the main power supply for safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness to ensure it is free from foreign materials, dirt, and any attachments;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are oversized compared to bolt diameters to allow bolt loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to cover the motor's feet—these gaskets must be free from attachments and sufficiently flat. Avoid using lengthy and slender gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, to be provided by the customer;
8) Prepare a bracket for supporting the dial indicator as illustrated in the figure below;
9) Use a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to install a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines closely (or as per specific instructions), with a maximum external circle deviation of 0.05mm, ensuring the motor's shaft center line is elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. The coupling end face should have a deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then reassess the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout to confirm accuracy;;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post alignment and leveling of the casing, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After test running the machinery, loosen then retighten the bolts for stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating element, is vulnerable to damage from solid or liquid intrusion. Hence, it's crucial to ensure all connecting pipelines are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion standards. Pipelines failing to meet these criteria must be urgently rectified. It'srecommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to PI diagrams for installing necessary pipeline accessories. Ensure the pipelines are supported independently by other brackets, avoiding any weight burden on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has achieved complete solidification, you are ready to proceed with the exhilarating compressor operation test. 3.3.8 For optimal performance, position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a convenient 5-meter radius from the compressor itself. Ensure the wiring is expertly connected by threading it through a robust underground pipe. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, carefully connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, paving the way for flawless operation and control.
