The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, incorporating a range of sophisticated components including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, and an advanced electric instrument and anti-surge control system. Its design is a testament to ingenuity, featuring a compact structure that ensures ease of maintenance while delivering impeccable performance.
3.3.1 Begin by seamlessly positioning the compressor's integral base on the foundation. Employ wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling of the unit. These shims are pivotal in maintaining foundational stability.
Alternately arrange two wedge-shaped irons for optimal setup. Once leveling is impeccable, spot weld the irons at 4~5 points for steadfast installation. Tailor the wedge construction and placement based on your specific conditions to ensure an impeccable fit.
The contact surface must be meticulously crafted to ensure consistent and even contact of the inclined plane, enhancing stability and distribution.
Ensure that the bearing capacity of these wedge irons remains robust yet does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a high-precision level instrument to ascertain the level accuracy. The unit's leveling precision demands an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm, ensuring unparalleled performance.
3.3.3 Achieving impeccable coupling center alignment is paramount. Before beginning, ensure the following prerequisites are fulfilled:
1) Deactivate the main power source to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield for unobstructed access;
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Precisely check the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it's free from debris, dirt, and any obstructive attachments.
5) The motor bolt holes should exceed the bolt size, allowing bolts to be loosened for seamless motor adjustment.
6) Prepare ample stainless-steel gaskets to fully support the motor's base. These gaskets must be pristine, level, and devoid of any debris. Avoid using elongated or slender gaskets for adjustments between the motor and base.
7) Utilize either a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter, boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm. This precision instrument should be customer-supplied.
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket, depicted below, to support the dial indicator with unwavering stability.
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to meticulously mount a dial indicator on the hub's edge, with its probe placed delicately on the compressor hub's outer edge.
10) By deftly adjusting the surrounding motor feet bolts, align the compressor and motor center lines to near perfection. The maximal outer circle deviation must not surpass 0.05mm, while ensuring the motor shaft center line slightly exceeds the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Maintain coupling end face deviations between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts once alignment is confirmed. Reassess both outer circle runout and end face runout to ensure alignment precision.;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling's intermediate section post a successful motor idling test, ensuring seamless operation.
3.3.4 After achieving optimal 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, diligently tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation (or trial run), it's crucial to loosen and retighten the bolts for sustained stability.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation mandates careful protection, as any solid or liquid intrusion can inflict irreversible compressor damage. It's essential to maintain clean inlet and outlet pipelines that adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Rectify any non-compliant pipelines promptly. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. According to the PI diagram, ensure that relevant pipeline accessories are correctly fitted. The compressor-connected pipeline requires independent support from another bracket, ensuring that its weight is never borne by the compressor body.
3.3.7 Upon the meticulous installation of the main fan alongside its ancillary equipment, and after ensuring the concrete foundation is wholly solidified, you are set to embark on the compressor operation test. This vital step ensures optimal performance and efficiency, preparing your Robust Steam Compressor with Overall Base for its crucial role in vanadium extraction.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor strategically within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Ensure seamless connectivity by threading the wiring through underground pipes from the compressor to the electric control cabinet. Once the electric control cabinet is securely positioned, expertly link the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the remote DCS lines. This ensures a flawlessly integrated setup for efficient operation of your Robust Steam Compressor.
