This transforms it into a reboiler heat source at the tower's base, ingeniously recapturing the latent heat from the steam, delivering exceptional efficiency at the tower's summit.
Introducing direct compression heat pump distillation - a revolutionary approach where the vapor phase at the top of the tower serves as the dynamic working fluid. By elevating the energy level of this vapor through an external steam compressor, it becomes a potent high-temperature heat source for the tower bottom reboiler. As illustrated in the figure below, this system excels in separation processes characterized by minimal temperature differences and closely aligned boiling points between the tower's peak and base.
The centrifugal compressor, crafted for heat pump distillation, encompasses a sophisticated assembly including the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an anti-surge control system. Its design is remarkably compact, ensuring ease of maintenance while maximizing operational efficiency.

3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to finely adjust the unit level.
Place alternating wedge-shaped irons, ensuring the unit is perfectly leveled. Spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. The wedges should be carefully
manufactured and installed by the user, custom-tailored to the actual site conditions. The contact surface must be smooth to ensure even contact of the inclined
plane. The bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed a robust 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precise level to ascertain the unit's alignment. The axial leveling precision required is 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
leveling must achieve 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Begin with centering the coupling. Prior to alignment, fulfill these essential prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section gently;
4) Confirm the motor installation plane is impeccably flat, free from debris, dirt, or unwelcome attachments;
5) The motor bolt holes must exceed the bolt size, allowing bolts to be loosened for motor adjustments;
6) Have an ample stock of stainless steel gaskets ready to completely cover motor feet, ensuring they are pristine and perfectly flat. Avoid using elongated or thin gaskets for motor-base adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm accuracy, which must be provided by the customer;
8) Prepare a suitable bracket to support the dial indicator, as illustrated below;
9) Use the motor hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, and position the dial indicator probe precisely on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By finely tuning the adjustment bolts surrounding the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines to near perfection (or follow specific instructions). The maximum allowable deviation for the outer circle is a tight 0.05mm (the motor shaft center should sit slightly higher than the compressor low-speed shaft center). Maintain a coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Ultimately, tighten the motor foot bolts securely, then meticulously review the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) After completing the motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section with care.
3.3.4 Once the unit's 'levelness' and alignment are optimized, secure the anchor bolts. Following mechanical operations (or trial runs), loosen and retighten these bolts to maintain integrity.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, must be shielded from any solid or liquid intrusion, as these can cause irreversible compressor damage. Ensure the cleanliness and compliance of inlet and outlet pipelines with the system's steam corrosion grade standards. Should pipelines not meet these specifications, immediate rectification is imperative. It is highlyrecommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere strictly to the PI diagram when installing relevant pipeline accessories. The pipelines must be supported by separate brackets, ensuring their weight is entirely independent from the compressor's structure.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its accompanying equipment are expertly installed and the concrete foundation has fully cured to perfection, the stage is set for conducting the compressor operation test, ensuring optimal functionality.
3.3.8 To ensure seamless integration and optimal control, the electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius. The connection between the compressor and the cabinet should be meticulously established using a threading pipe, elegantly routed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly in place, it’s essential to harmonize the system by connecting the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless communication pathway.
