The elevated temperature returns the secondary steam back to the evaporator, where it effectively heats the materials, initiating the evaporation process. The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an exemplar of engineering excellence, featuring a meticulously designed compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, and an advanced electric instrument coupled with an anti-surge control system. Its design is not only compact, enhancing space efficiency, but also allows for ease of maintenance, ensuring long-term operational reliability and convenience.
3.3.1 Start by setting the compressor base seamlessly onto the foundation. Ensure the use of wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to deftly adjust the unit's level.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately, and once the unit is perfectly leveled, apply spot welds at 4 to 5 strategic points to firmly secure the wedges.
The user must craft and position the wedges based on actual conditions, ensuring the contact surfaces are finely finished for even distribution of the inclined plane's load.
The wedge iron's load capacity shouldn't exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precise level tool to ascertain the unit's level. Align the unit to achieve an impeccable axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure the coupling is meticulously centered. Prior to alignment procedures, adhere to these vital prerequisites:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to avert any electrical hazards;
2) Carefully detach the coupling shield to access the necessary components;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Verify the flatness of the motor installation plane, ensuring it is free from debris, grime, or any unwelcome attachments;
5) Ensure the motor's bolt holes are slightly larger than the bolts themselves, allowing for bolt loosening and subsequent motor adjustments;
6) Prepare a sufficient amount of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's feet. The gaskets must be clean, flat, and free from any attachments. Avoid using long or thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and the base;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an exceptional accuracy of 0.01mm, provided by the customer themselves;
8) Ready the bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the illustration below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, with the probe placed on the outer periphery of the compressor wheel hub;
10) Adjust the bolts surrounding the motor feet to ensure the compressor and motor center line are in near-perfect alignment, with an outer circle deviation not exceeding 0.05mm and a coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then conduct a thorough review of the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section once more.
3.3.4 Subsequent to adjusting the casing's levelness and alignment, firmly fasten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial run, loosen then retighten the bolts for assured stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, is susceptible to irreversible damage from any solid or liquid intrusion. Thus, it is imperative to maintain pristine cleanliness in the inlet and outlet pipelines that connect to the compressor, ensuring they conform to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Should the pipelines fall short of these criteria, immediate rectification is essential.Incorporating solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the straight pipe at the compressor inlet is highly recommended.
3.3.6 During the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes, ensure all relevant pipeline accessories are fitted according to the PI diagram. Additionally, support the pipeline connected to the compressor with an independent bracket, ensuring its weight is not burdening the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Upon the successful installation of the main fan alongside its supplementary equipment, and after ensuring the concrete has reached complete solidification, it is time to proceed with the compressor operation test. This essential step will affirm the integrity and functionality of the setup.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet for the compressor strategically within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection process requires threading the wiring through pipes that are discreetly placed underground. Once the control cabinet is securely established, it is crucial to link the wiring terminals inside the cabinet directly to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring seamless and efficient communication.
