The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, consisting of key components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an anti-surge control system. Designed with a focus on compactness and ease of maintenance, this compressor series offers unparalleled convenience, ensuring high performance and reliability.
3.3.1 Begin by securely placing the compressor base on its foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure a perfectly level setup.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is leveled to perfection, spot weld the irons in 4 to 5 points to lock them in place.
Craft and install these wedges with precision, tailored by the user to suit the actual conditions. Ensure that contact surfaces are impeccably finished.
For optimal stability, ensure that wedge iron contact surfaces are smooth and bear a load no greater than 40Kg/cm.2).
3.3.2 Achieve accuracy with a level. Ensure the axial level is finely tuned to 0.05/1000mm, while maintaining the horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm.
These measurements ensure precision and perfect alignment for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling meticulously. Before initiating alignment, adhere to these critical steps:
1) Ensure complete safety by switching off the main power supply;
2) Remove the coupling shield to access the core components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for precise adjustments;
4) Verify the motor installation plane is flat and free from any debris or impurities;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are adequately sized to allow bolt loosening for precise motor adjustments;
6) Have a sufficient supply of stainless steel gaskets ready, ensuring they are of premium quality and flat. Refrain from using elongated, thin gaskets for insertion.
7) Utilize a precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter, accurate to 0.01mm, supplied by the customer;
8) Prepare the supporting bracket for the dial indicator as depicted below for stable measurement;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator snugly at the hub edge, enabling precise outer edge measurement.
10) Adjust the adjustment bolts situated around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor to the same center line. Adhere to a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and reassess the runout on the coupling's outer circle and end face for precision.;
12) Once satisfied, reinstall the coupling intermediate section post motor idle testing.
3.3.4 Following the fine-tuning of "levelness" and alignment, fasten the anchor bolts firmly. After initial mechanical operations, release, and re-tighten the bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 Prevent irreversible damage by ensuring no solids or liquids enter the high-speed impeller. Check that the inlet and outlet pipelines meet steam corrosion standards, and rectify if not.To enhance safety, consider installing solid-liquid separation gear, like gas scrubbers, before the compressor's straight pipe inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with installing compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Attachments should follow the PI diagram, with pipelines supported by separate brackets, not the compressor body itself, to avoid undue stress.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its essential ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed, and the concrete has fully set and solidified, you are ready to embark on the compressor operation test. This stage is crucial to ensuring the seamless performance and reliability of the system.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet, a vital component in the compressor's operation, should be strategically positioned within 5 meters of the compressor unit. The electrical connections linking the compressor to the control cabinet must be carefully laid underground using threading pipes. Once the cabinet is securely in place, it is necessary to expertly connect the wiring terminals within the electric control cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS).
