The DM Series Single-stage Geard Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel, incorporating a comprehensive array of components including a robust compressor body, coupling, gearbox, sophisticated lubrication system, powerful motor, precision electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This meticulously designed compressor boasts a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and reliable performance, making it an indispensable asset for efficient energy management.
3.3.1 To begin the setup, gracefully position the compressor base as a unified whole onto the foundation. Next, slide wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure the unit is perfectly level.
Strategically place two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is leveled to perfection, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. It's crucial that the
wedge is manufactured and installed by the user, tailored to the specific situation. Ensure the contact surface is flawlessly finished to achieve even contact on the inclined
plane, while maintaining the bearing capacity of the wedge iron at no more than 40Kg/cm2.
3.3.2 Employ a high-precision level to ascertain the unit's level. The criteria for leveling are as follows: the axial level of the unit must be at an exacting 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level demands a precision of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 For immaculate coupling alignment, prior to initiating alignment, ensure that the following preconditions are meticulously met:
1) Securely deactivate the main power supply;
2) Diligently remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Carefully detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane for immaculate flatness free from debris, dirt, and any attachments;
5) The motor's bolt hole must exceed the bolt size, facilitating the loosening of bolts for precise motor adjustments;
6) Amass an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to cushion the motor's foot. These gaskets should be pristine and impeccably flat, avoiding the use of long, thin gaskets for adjustments between motor and base;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or an advanced laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, as prepared by the customer;
8) Equip a dedicated bracket to support the dial indicator, illustrated in the figure below;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, placing its probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Carefully adjust the motor feet bolts, aligning the compressor and motor centerline ideally. Ensure that the maximum deviation of the outer circle is restrained to 0.05mm (with the motor shaft's centerline slightly elevated over the compressor low-speed shaft centerline), and the coupling end face deviation constrained to 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclusively, fasten the motor foot bolts securely and reassess the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling.
12) Post the motor's idling test, install the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the casing's alignment and levelness are finely tuned, secure the anchor bolts. Subsequent to mechanical operations (or trial runs), relax these bolts and retighten for optimal performance.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, must remain untainted by solids or liquids to prevent irreversible damage. Therefore, it is imperative to ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines associated with the compressor are sterile and adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Any deviation from these conditions necessitates rectification. Consider adding solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for installing relevant pipeline accessories. Support pipelines connected to the compressor independently using another bracket, ensuring that the compressor body does not bear their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment stand majestically in place and the concrete has set to its full strength, you are ready to embark on the exciting journey of conducting the compressor operation test. This pivotal stage ensures the heart of your system beats with unmatched precision and efficiency.
3.3.8 To achieve optimal performance, ensure the electric control cabinet of the compressor is strategically positioned within a convenient 5 meters of the compressor itself. For seamless connectivity, the wiring should be elegantly threaded through a protective conduit, extending gracefully underground. Upon establishing the electric control cabinet, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within to the remote DCS, ensuring a harmonious blend of cutting-edge technology and robust infrastructure.
