The core principle revolves around compressing the secondary steam, created by the evaporator, using a high-efficiency steam compressor. This process ingeniously converts electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the steam. The resultant rise in temperature sends this enriched secondary steam back to the evaporator, where it heats materials and induces further evaporation. This innovative method effectively recycles the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, heralding a new era of sustainable and efficient energy management.
The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, featuring a sophisticated array of components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design boasts a compact structure that not only enhances operational efficiency but also simplifies maintenance. This intelligent configuration ensures that the compressor delivers top-tier performance while remaining user-friendly and requiring minimal upkeep.
3.3.1 The compressor base is integrally placed on the foundation, and it is essential to place wedge-shaped shims meticulously under the base to ensure that the unit is perfectly leveled.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately, then level the unit, and skillfully spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user with precision, tailored to the actual conditions. The contact surface must be finished to perfection for uniform contact of
the inclined plane. Ensure the bearing capacity does not exceed a robust 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a high-precision level to ascertain leveling perfection. The unit's leveling requirements are stringent: the axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level of the unit should be a meticulous 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling. Prior to beginning alignment, confirm these crucial prerequisites:
1) Turn off the main power supply completely;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Systematically remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Check the motor installation plane meticulously for any debris or attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts, allowing for bolt loosening to adjust the motor seamlessly;
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets to adequately cover the motor's foot, ensuring they are free of attachments and impeccably flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with superior accuracy of 0.01mm, procured by the customer;
8) Have the appropriate support bracket ready for the dial indicator, as depicted in the following figure;
9) Use a mounting bracket for the motor wheel hub to securely place a dial indicator on the hub's edge, positioning the probe against the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor center line precisely, maintaining a maximum deviation of 0.05mm on the outer circle. The motor shaft center line should slightly transcend the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, ensuring the coupling's end face deviation stays between 0.03 and 0.05mm;
11) Finally, secure the motor foot bolts, revisiting the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for assurance.;
12) Install the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post adjustment of "levelness" and alignment of the casing, securely tighten the anchor bolts. After a rigorous mechanical operation or trial, release and retighten these bolts for optimal stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotational marvel, must remain protected. Any solid or liquid intrusion can result in irreversible damage to the compressor. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade standards. Any pipeline failing to meet these criteria must undergo rectification. It is highlyrecommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Diligently install compressor inlet and outlet pipes. The import and export pipelines must be equipped with essential pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. Additionally, the pipelines connected to the compressor should be supported independently by another bracket, ensuring their weight is never a burden on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its associated equipment are successfully installed and the concrete has completely solidified, it's time for an exhilarating step forward—the compressor operation test. This crucial phase ensures the functionality and reliability of your system, paving the way for optimal performance.
3.3.8 To ensure seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically placed within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor. The wiring connection from the compressor to the control cabinet should be expertly executed using threading pipe, which discreetly runs underground. Once the control cabinet is securely positioned, the final finesse involves connecting the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring a symphony of coordinated operations.
