The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a pinnacle of engineering excellence, encompassing the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 Gracefully place the compressor base integrally on the foundation, ensuring precision with wedge-shaped shims beneath the base. These shims are skillfully used for adjusting the unit level,
alternating two wedge-shaped irons carefully. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions. The contact surface must be finely finished to ensure even contact on the inclined
plane, with the wedge iron's bearing capacity not exceeding an impressive 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a high-precision level to ascertain perfect leveling. The unit's leveling requirements are meticulous: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm, and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm, providing an assurance of exceptional balance.
3.3.3 Achieve precise coupling alignment. Prior to starting this alignment process, ensure the following prerequisites:
1) Safeguard by turning off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with precision;
4) Examine the motor installation plane's flatness to confirm it is free from foreign objects, dirt, and attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is larger than the bolt size, allowing for bolt loosening to adjust the motor accurately;
6) Prepare an adequate number of pristine stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's foot. These gaskets must be free of attachments and sufficiently flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments between the motor and base;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a stunning accuracy of 0.01mm, crafted by the customer;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket for supporting the dial indicator, as depicted in the diagram below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By fine-tuning the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center line with finesse. The maximum deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm (ensuring the motor shaft center line is above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), with a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely fasten the motor foot bolts, then meticulously review the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for flawless performance.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing are perfected, tighten the anchor bolts with precision. Post mechanical operation (or trial operation), expertly loosen the bolts and retighten them for assured stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed marvel, and any solid or liquid entering it can inflict irreversible harm on the compressor. Hence, it is vital to ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are impeccably clean and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Pipelines failing to meet these standards must be diligently rectified. It is strategicallysuggested to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the straight pipe at the compressor inlet for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the flawless installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines should be outfitted with the necessary pipeline accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. The pipeline attached to the compressor must be supported by a separate bracket, ensuring that its weight does not burden the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its supporting equipment is completed and the concrete has fully set, you are ready to proceed with the compressor's operational testing. This marks an exciting milestone, ensuring everything is in top-notch condition for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Connect this to the compressor via underground threading pipes for a sleek and secure setup. Once the electric control cabinet is firmly installed, seamlessly link the wiring terminals within it to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a cohesive and efficient system.
