The DML series, encompassing the Advanced Low Temperature Rise Steam Compressor, is an engineering marvel meticulously designed from top to bottom. At the heart of this series is the compressor body, which consists of several crucial components, including the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seals. Each element has been precision-engineered to ensure maximum performance and durability. Complementing this robust assembly is the coupling, which seamlessly integrates with the motor and electric instruments, forming a cohesive unit. Together, these components create a powerful and efficient system designed to tackle the most demanding tasks with ease and reliability.
3.3.1 Begin the process by ensuring that the compressor base, crafted as an integral unit, is firmly and precisely positioned on its designated foundation. Employ wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling.
Strategically alternate the placement of these wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is level, solidify this precision by spot welding the irons at 4 to 5 key points, ensuring stability and alignment.
Users are entrusted with the creation and installation of the wedges, tailored to meet specific situational demands. The contact surface must be meticulously finished to guarantee even contact on the inclined plane, aligning with best practices.
For optimal performance, ensure the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed the specified threshold of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to fine-tune the unit's level. Adhere to the stringent leveling requisites: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure the unit meets these exacting standards for seamless operation.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment by confirming the following critical prerequisites before commencing:
1) Ensure the main power supply is safely turned off to prevent any unintended operation.
2) Detach the coupling shield, allowing unobstructed access for further adjustments.
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section, preparing for precise alignment.
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness and cleanliness, ensuring a pristine surface devoid of any debris or attachments.
5) Design motor bolt holes to exceed the bolt size slightly, facilitating easy loosening for motor adjustments.
6) Equip yourself with ample stainless steel gaskets to stabilize the motor's footing. These gaskets should be impeccably flat and attachment-free, avoiding the use of long, thin gaskets for adjustment purposes.
7) Utilize top-tier tools like a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with exceptional accuracy of 0.01mm, supplied by the customer.
8) Prepare a robust bracket for dial indicator support, following specific illustrated guidelines.
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator on the hub's edge, meticulously placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) By finely adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, ensure the alignment of the compressor and motor center lines. Aim for a maximum deviation of 0.05mm in the outer circle, with the motor shaft center line positioned slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation maintained between 0.03 and 0.05mm.
11) Once aligned, securely tighten the motor foot bolts. Double-check the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling for assurance.;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling's intermediate section post-motor idling test to finalize the alignment.
3.3.4 Post alignment of both 'levelness' and the casing, tighten the anchor bolts securely. After the mechanical operation or trial, revisit the bolts, loosening and retightening for assured stability.
3.3.5 Given the critical role of the impeller as a high-speed rotating component, it is paramount to prevent any solid or liquid ingress, which could cause irreversible damage to the compressor. Ensure all connected inlet and outlet pipelines are devoid of contaminants, meeting the stringent system steam corrosion grade requirements. Non-compliant pipelines necessitate immediate rectification, preferably with the addition of solid-liquid separation equipment such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee placed strategically before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Meticulously install compressor inlet and outlet pipes, integrating necessary pipeline accessories as outlined by the PI diagram. Ensure all connected pipelines are supported independently of the compressor to prevent undue stress on its structure.
3.3.7 Once the majestic main fan and its vital ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the sturdy concrete foundation has completely solidified and cured, the stage is set to initiate the exhilarating compressor operation test, ensuring seamless functionality.
3.3.8 The sophisticated electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The vital wiring connecting the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be expertly encased in threading pipe and discreetly routed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is majestically situated, proceed to connect the wiring terminals within it to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring optimal performance and connectivity.
