The core principle of MVR is elegantly simple yet highly efficient: the secondary steam emitted by the evaporator is compressed using a high-efficiency steam compressor. This process effectively converts electrical energy into thermal energy, resulting in an increase in both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The elevated temperature of the steam is then redirected back to the evaporator, heating the materials and triggering evaporation. This cycle facilitates the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization within the secondary steam, epitomizing a remarkable advancement in sustainable energy utilization.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, incorporating a meticulously designed compressor body, robust coupling, efficient gearbox, reliable lubrication system, powerful motor, sophisticated electric instrument, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. This compressor boasts a compact structure that not only enhances its operational efficiency but also ensures ease of maintenance, making it an indispensable component in modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 Begin by carefully positioning the compressor base onto the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to meticulously adjust the unit's level.
Strategically place two wedge-shaped irons alternately for optimal stability. After achieving precise leveling, securely spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4~5 points for durability.
The wedge must be meticulously manufactured and installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions, ensuring the contact surface is perfectly finished for even contact of the inclined plane.
Note that the wedge iron's bearing capacity must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ascertain precision. The unit's leveling standards: achieve an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and maintain a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
These specifications ensure optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.3 It's crucial to achieve accurate coupling alignment. Prior to initiating alignment, ensure the following essential steps are taken:
1) Completely disconnect the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access the coupling area;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section thoughtfully;
4) Thoroughly examine the motor installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring no debris or attachments are present;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes exceed the bolt size, allowing flexibility for bolt adjustment to finely tune the motor positioning;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets to perfectly fit beneath the motor foot, ensuring they are free from attachments and flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Employ a precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which the customer should prepare in advance;
8) Set up the support bracket for the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying figure;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to secure a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, with the probe on the compressor's wheel hub outer edge;
10) By skillfully adjusting the motor feet's bolts, align the compressor and motor center lines. The maximum outer circle deviation should be 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly above the compressor low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Firmly tighten the motor foot bolts and recheck the coupling's outer circle and end face runouts for accuracy;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling intermediate section post motor idling test, ensuring everything is securely in place.
3.3.4 Subsequent to adjusting the casing's 'levelness' and alignment, fasten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, loosen and re-tighten these bolts to confirm secure installation.
3.3.5 The impeller, being a high-speed rotating component, must remain free of solids or liquids to avoid irreversible damage. Ensure that both inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are impeccably clean and adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Any pipelines failing to meet these conditions require immediate rectification. It's highlyadvisable to integrate solid liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the compressor inlet's straight pipe to prevent contamination.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Ensure that import and export pipelines are outfitted with relevant accessories as per the PI diagram. It's crucial that the pipeline connected to the compressor is supported by an independent bracket, relieving the compressor body from the weight of the pipelines.
3.3.7 Once the main fan, along with all its supplementary equipment, is expertly installed and the concrete base has reached full solidity, you are ready to embark on the compressor operation test. This is an essential step in ensuring the equipment's seamless performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor is optimally placed within a 5-meter radius of the main compressor unit. The wiring that bridges the compressor and its control cabinet should be meticulously threaded through piping, which is securely laid underground. Following the strategic placement of the electric control cabinet, it is crucial to establish solid connections by linking the wiring terminals within this cabinet to the lines extending to the remote DCS. This ensures a reliable and efficient communication pathway.
