3.3.1 Begin by carefully placing the compressor base integrally onto the prepared foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims underneath the base to enable precise leveling adjustments.
Utilize two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner for optimal placement. After achieving the perfect level, perform spot welds on the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points. It is crucial to ensure that each wedge is
manufactured and installed by the user, tailored to the unique circumstances of your setup. Finish the contact surface thoroughly to guarantee an even and reliable contact of the inclined plane.
Keep in mind that the bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed a maximum of 40Kg/cm2.
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ascertain perfect alignment. The leveling requirements are imperative: the axial level should adhere to a stringent standard of 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level must be 0.10/1000mm, ensuring impeccable performance.
3.3.3 The precise centering of the coupling is crucial. Prior to commencing alignment, ensure adherence to the following safety and preparatory measures:
1) Ensure absolute safety by turning off the main power supply;
2) Safely remove the coupling shield to access the essential components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section with care;
4) Conduct a thorough inspection of the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and any extraneous materials;
5) Ensure that the motor bolt hole exceeds the bolt size to allow for loosening and fine-tuning of the motor's position as needed;
6) Adequately prepare stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's base. Gaskets must be devoid of attachments and perfectly flat. Avoid inserting long, thin gaskets between the motor and base for any adjustments;
7) Employ a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, to be provided by the customer for exacting alignment;
8) Prepare the appropriate bracket as illustrated below, to support the dial indicator effectively;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, placing the dial indicator probe on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub for precise readings;
10) By skillfully adjusting the bolts surrounding the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines accurately, or as detailed in corresponding instructions. The maximum permissible deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm, ensuring the motor's shaft center line is positioned slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with coupling end face smoothness maintained between 0.03 to 0.05mm;
11) Once alignment is secured, firmly tighten the motor foot bolts and reassess the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling for precision and safety;
12) Proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test, ensuring all components are seamlessly integrated.
3.3.4 Once the meticulous adjustments to the unit's levelness and alignment are completed, secure the anchor bolts with precision. After a mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and re-tighten the bolts for reinforced stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a critical high-speed component, and any solid or liquid intruding into it can cause irreversible damage to the compressor. It is essential to ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Rectification is a must for pipelines that fall short of this standard. We highly recommend integrating solid-liquid separation equipment (such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) prior to the compressor inlet's straight pipe for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, ensuring adherence to the PI diagram's specifications. All connected pipelines to the compressor must be supported independently by an additional bracket, as their weight should never burden the compressor body directly, preserving its integrity.
3.3.7 Upon the completion of the installation of the main fan and its ancillary equipment, and once the concrete has thoroughly solidified, a comprehensive operation test of the compressor can be initiated. 3.3.8 For seamless integration and operation, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. The connections from the compressor to this control cabinet should be elegantly encased within a threading pipe, ensuring they are securely embedded underground. Once the electric control cabinet is firmly in place, it is imperative to connect the wiring terminals inside the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, facilitating a robust and efficient system control.
