3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base seamlessly upon the foundation. Introduce wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to fine-tune the unit level for optimal installation.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating fashion. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, execute a precise spot weld on 4 to 5 points of the irons. These wedges must be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions of your setup. Ensure that the contact surfaces are impeccably finished to guarantee even contact of the
inclined planes. Note, the bearing strength of each wedge iron must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain the exact level of the unit. The meticulous leveling criteria are: axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level
must be 0.10/1000mm, ensuring superior stability and performance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with utmost precision. Before commencing alignment, verify these crucial prerequisites:
1) Disengage the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield carefully;
3) Remove the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling thoughtfully;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for any debris, dirt, or foreign attachments, ensuring pristine conditions;
5) Confirm that the motor bolt holes are sufficiently larger than the bolts themselves, allowing for easy adjustments;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to uniformly cover the motor's foot. These gaskets must be impeccably flat, free from any attachments, and eschew long and thin
gaskets for adjustment between the motor and base; instead, opt for sturdy, perfectly flat options;
8) Arm yourself with the bracket depicted below to support the dial indicator firmly;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to securely position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, carefully placing the probe on the compressor's wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet meticulously to align the compressor and motor center lines. The outer circle's maximum deviation should be no more than 0.05mm (the
motor shaft center line ought to sit slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), with the coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm for precision.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section securely.
3.3.4 Upon perfecting the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, proceed to tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, release the bolts and execute a final tightening.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-velocity rotating component, must remain free from any solid or liquid intrusion to prevent irreversible compressor damage. Therefore, it's imperativeto ensure cleanliness of the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor, aligning with the system's steam corrosion grade. Pipelines falling short of these standards
must undergo rectification. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, upstream of the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has reached full solidity, it is the opportune moment to commence the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures everything is functioning seamlessly, paving the way for optimal performance.
3.3.8 For optimal efficiency and safety, position the compressor's electric control cabinet within a strategic 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Utilize threading pipes to secure the wiring underground, ensuring a tidy and protected connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet. Once the control cabinet is perfectly situated, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within it to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a robust and reliable system integration.
