The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, featuring a meticulously crafted compressor body, robust coupling, precision gearbox, comprehensive lubrication system, powerful motor, cutting-edge electric instrumentation, and a sophisticated anti-surge control system. This masterpiece boasts a compact structure that promises easy maintenance and seamless integration into your operations. 3.3.1 With precision craftsmanship, the compressor base is seamlessly positioned on the foundation. Place ingeniously designed wedge-shaped shims under the base to ensure flawless leveling.
Skillfully alternate two wedge-shaped irons for a balanced alignment. After achieving perfect leveling, perform spot welding on the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points.
The wedge must be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions, ensuring an impeccably finished contact surface for uniform contact of the inclined plane.
Note: The wedge iron's bearing capacity must not exceed an impressive 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to achieve exact alignment. The leveling benchmarks are: axial level precision at 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal accuracy of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Center the coupling meticulously. Prior to alignment, ensure these critical prerequisites:
1) Power down the main supply for unmatched safety;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield for unobstructed access;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with precision;
4) Verify the motor installation plane for flawless flatness, free from debris and impurities;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole exceeds bolt size for effortless adjustment flexibility;
6) Ample stainless steel gaskets should be prepared to cover the motor foot. The gaskets must be free of impurities and perfectly flat, avoiding the use of long and slender gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a sophisticated dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (procured by the customer);
8) Position the dial indicator on a stable bracket as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Mount the motor wheel hub bracket for precise dial indicator positioning on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Skillfully adjust the motor feet bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines. Ensure the maximum deviation of the outer circle remains within 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly elevated above the compressor low-speed shaft center line. The coupling end face should be precisely between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Firmly secure the motor foot bolts and meticulously verify the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idle test.
3.3.4 Once the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing are impeccably adjusted, secure the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial, loosen and retighten them for sustained stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, demands utmost protection. Ensure no solid or liquid intrudes, as it may cause irreversible damage. The compressor's inlet and outlet pipelines must be spotless, meeting steam corrosion grade standards. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor inlet for optimal maintenance.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure import and export pipelines are equipped with appropriate accessories per the PI diagram. Pipelines must be independently supported by additional brackets, not relying on the compressor body for weight bearing.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential ancillary equipment are fully installed and the concrete foundation has achieved complete solidification, you can proceed with the compressor operation test. This ensures that the system is optimally prepared for efficient and effective performance.
3.3.8 It is recommended that the electric control cabinet for the compressor be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For optimal safety and efficiency, the wiring should be meticulously threaded through an underground pipe from the compressor to the electric control cabinet. Once the electric control cabinet is expertly positioned, seamlessly connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the corresponding lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure flawless operational synergy.
