The DM series Single-Stage Geared Steam Compressor is a masterpiece of engineering, embodying sophistication and efficiency. This remarkable machine comprises a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an anti-surge control system. Designed with precision, its compact structure not only facilitates ease of maintenance but also ensures reliability and longevity. Every component harmonizes effortlessly, making the DM series a convenient, high-performance solution for a multitude of industrial applications.
3.3.1 Begin by meticulously placing the compressor base integrally upon the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling.
Position two wedge-shaped irons in alternating fashion. Once the unit is impeccably leveled, secure the irons with spot welds at four to five critical points. These wedges,
tailored and installed by the user, should be crafted to match the unique conditions. Ensure a finished contact surface for seamless contact across the inclined plane.
The wedge's bearing capacity should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ascertain the unit's level. The stringent leveling criteria demand an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure meticulous centering of the coupling. Prior to alignment, fulfill these essential prerequisites:
1) Deactivate the main power source;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Disassemble the diaphragm coupling’s intermediate section;
4) Scrutinize the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it's devoid of debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) Opt for a motor bolt hole larger than the bolt itself to facilitate easy motor adjustments;
6) Stock ample flat stainless steel gaskets for the motor's footing, ensuring they are free of attachments. Refrain from using elongated, slender gaskets between the motor and base.
7) Use a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment meter (accurate to 0.01mm), which should be provided by the customer;
8) Prepare the bracket to support the dial indicator, as depicted in the accompanying diagram;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator on the wheel hub edge, placing its probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Fine-tune the motor feet’s adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines. The maximum allowable deviation of the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center slightly above the compressor's low-speed shaft, and coupling end face permissible deviation between 0.03 and 0.05mm;
11) Secure the motor foot bolts finally, then reassess both the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling's intermediate section post motor idling trial.
3.3.4 Once levelness and alignment are finalized, secure the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial, these bolts should be loosened and retightened.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating component, should remain free from solid or liquid contaminants to prevent irreversible damage. Ensure that all connected pipelines meet steam corrosion grade standards. Any non-compliant pipeline should be rectified,and it is advisable to implement solid-liquid separation equipment like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet's straight pipeline.
3.3.6 Proceed with the meticulous installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines must include appropriate accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure that the pipeline's weight is independently supported and not borne by the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its essential ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, the stage is set to initiate the compressor operation test. This critical step ensures the eco-friendly compressor is ready for its role in effective vanadium extraction with supreme efficiency.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection between the compressor and the electric control cabinet must be seamlessly integrated by using a threading pipe that is securely placed underground. Upon positioning the electric control cabinet, connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring uninterrupted and efficient communication for the smooth operation of the system.
