3.3.1 Gracefully position the compressor base directly onto its foundation. Carefully insert wedge-shaped shims underneath for precise leveling of the unit.
Arrange these wedge-shaped irons alternately, ensure the unit's alignment, and perform spot welding at 4 to 5 strategic points for secure placement.
The wedges, crafted and installed by you, should be tailored to fit the actual requirements. Ensure the contact surface is finely finished to guarantee even pressure distribution on the inclined plane.
The wedge iron must withstand a bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize precision instruments to achieve meticulous leveling. The unit's axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, with a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm for flawless alignment.
Ensure the utmost precision in maintaining these levels for optimal unit performance.
3.3.3 Expertly align the coupling to achieve perfect centering. Prior to this alignment process, verify the following crucial steps:
1) Disengage the main power supply to ensure safety.
2) Detach the coupling shield with care.
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to prepare for alignment.
4) Examine the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is devoid of foreign objects, debris, or unwanted attachments.
5) The motor bolt holes should be sufficiently larger than the bolts to allow ease of adjustment.
6) Prepare ample stainless steel gaskets for the motor footing, ensuring they are clean and perfectly flat. Avoid using elongated or slender gaskets for any adjustments between the motor and base.
7) Equip yourself with a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter, boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm, to aid in this task.
8) Set up a sturdy bracket as depicted in the accompanying figure to support your dial indicator.
9) Utilize the motor hub mounting bracket to affix the dial indicator at the periphery of the wheel hub, positioning the probe on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub for accurate readings.
10) Fine-tune the adjustment bolts surrounding the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines as closely as possible. Allowable deviation for the outer circle is a mere 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center slightly elevated.
11) Upon achieving alignment, securely fasten the motor foot bolts and meticulously re-evaluate both the outer circle runout and the end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Post motor idling test, skillfully reinstall the coupling's intermediate section to finalize setup.
3.3.4 After perfecting the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, diligently secure the anchor bolts. Following mechanical testing, loosen and retighten these bolts to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a component of high-speed rotation, demands meticulous care. Prevent any solid or liquid infiltration to avoid irreversible compressor damage. Confirm that the connecting inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion grade specifications.Enhance protection by incorporating solid-liquid separation devices, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the compressor's inlet pipeline.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure alignment with pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. Support the pipelines with independent brackets to avoid burdening the compressor body with their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete foundation has fully cured and solidified, it is time to proceed with the operation test of the compressor. This ensures that the setup is ready to deliver optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a 5-meter radius to ensure efficient connectivity. The wiring should be elegantly managed using threading pipes, which must be laid underground for safety and aesthetic purposes. Once the electric control cabinet is correctly positioned, proceed to meticulously connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS) to ensure seamless integration and control.
