At the heart of this sophisticated process lies a fundamental principle: the secondary steam produced by the evaporator undergoes compression through a highly efficient steam compressor. This transformational journey converts electrical energy into thermal energy, thereby elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. As the temperature rises, the enriched secondary steam is channeled back to the evaporator, where it performs the vital role of heating materials and inducing further evaporation. This cyclical process marvelously realizes the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization inherent in the secondary steam.
The DM series Single-Stage Geared Steam Compressor is a masterpiece of engineering, meticulously crafted to include a multitude of components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and a sophisticated anti-surge control system. This marvel of compact structural design promises not only exceptional performance but also ease of maintenance, making it an ideal choice for discerning users seeking reliability and efficiency.
3.3.1 The compressor base is placed meticulously on the foundation, with wedge-shaped shims strategically positioned underneath (utilized for precise leveling of the unit).
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is impeccably leveled, apply spot welding to the irons at 4~5 points. These wedges should be
crafted and installed by the user, adapting to the specific conditions. Ensure the contact surfaces are finished for optimal evenness on inclined
planes. The load capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to ascertain precision. The unit's leveling specifications demand an axial level of 0.05/1000mm, and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling centering. Prior to alignment, ensure the following essential preconditions are met:
1) Disengage the main power supply completely;
2) Dismantle the coupling shield with care;
3) Extract the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the flatness of the motor installation plane, ensuring it's free from foreign objects, dust, and residues;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are ample in size compared to bolts, facilitating motor adjustments upon loosening;
6) Adequately prepare stainless steel gaskets to firmly support the motor's feet, ensuring they're spotless and flawlessly flat. Avoid using elongated, slender gaskets between the motor and base for adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm (procured by the customer);
8) Set up the supporting bracket for the dial indicator as depicted in the diagram below;
9) Use the motor hub mounting bracket to secure the dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, aligning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer perimeter;
10) Adjust the bolts surrounding the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines closely (or as per specific instructions), maintaining a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm (the motor shaft center line must be slightly elevated compared to the compressor's low-speed shaft center line), coupling end face between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Firmly fasten the motor foot bolts, then re-evaluate the coupling's outer circle and end face runouts.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of the casing's 'levelness' and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. Following mechanical operation (or trial operation), release and re-tighten these bolts.
3.3.5 The impeller represents a high-speed rotating element, and any intrusion of solids or liquids can inflict irreversible damage on the compressor. Thus, it's imperative to ensure that all pipelines linked to the compressor are spotless and conform to the system's steam corrosion standards. If pipelines fall short, they require immediate rectification. It's stronglyrecommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation devices (such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees) preceding the straight pipe at the compressor's inlet.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Attach relevant pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure pipelines connected to the compressor are supported by separate brackets, ensuring their weight is not borne by the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its associated equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete has completely cured to ensure unwavering stability, the time has come to proceed with the eagerly anticipated compressor operation test. This marks a pivotal moment in the journey towards harnessing the full potential of our cutting-edge technology.
3.3.8 For optimal performance and seamless integration, the compressor's electric control cabinet should be strategically positioned within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The critical wiring connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet must be expertly threaded through a protective underground conduit. Once the electric control cabinet is firmly in place, it is essential to meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring robust communication and control.
