MVR, an acronym for mechanical vapor recompression, is a groundbreaking, energy-efficient technology designed to dramatically minimize external energy consumption. It achieves this through the ingenious reuse of the secondary steam's energy that it produces. The fundamental principle hinges on the secondary steam, which is generated by the evaporator. This steam undergoes compression utilizing a high-efficiency steam compressor that transforms electrical energy into thermal energy. As a result, the secondary steam's pressure and temperature are elevated, allowing it to return to the evaporator. Once there, it effectively heats the materials and induces evaporation, thereby enabling the recycling of the secondary steam's latent heat of vaporization. This process not only maximizes energy efficiency but also contributes to sustainable and eco-friendly operations.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, encompassing an array of meticulously designed components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, and electric instrument. Additionally, it features an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design is noted for a compact structure that not only optimizes space but also ensures ease of maintenance, making it an ideal choice for streamlined operations.
3.3.1 Begin by positioning the entire compressor base seamlessly onto the foundation. Enhance stability with wedge-shaped shims carefully placed underneath, allowing for precise level adjustments.
For optimal leveling, methodically arrange two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating sequence. Once the unit is leveled, secure the wedges with spot welds at approximately 4 to 5 points.
Users are required to fabricate and install the wedges based on specific conditions, ensuring a uniformly finished contact surface.
The inclined plane should achieve even contact, and it's crucial that the wedge iron's load-bearing capacity does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to determine horizontal precision. The leveling standards demand an axial level tolerance of 0.05 per 1000mm and a horizontal level precision of 0.10 per 1000mm.
Ensure these meticulous standards are met for optimal unit performance.
3.3.3 Coupling alignment is critical. Prior to initiating alignment, ensure the following protocols are strictly adhered to:
1) Safeguard operations by switching off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to expose the relevant components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section for better access;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for uniformity and ensure it’s free from debris or unwanted materials;
5) Confirm that the motor bolt hole exceeds the bolt size, facilitating easy motor adjustment by loosening bolts as needed;
6) Ensure ample stainless steel gaskets are prepared to fit perfectly under the motor, free from debris and uniformly flat. Refrain from using unsuitable gaskets for height adjustments;
7) Employ a precision dial indicator or laser alignment tool with a 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer);
8) Have the necessary bracket ready to support the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying diagram;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for precise placement of the dial indicator at the wheel hub’s edge, ensuring the probe sits on the compressor wheel hub’s outer edge.
10) Meticulously adjust the motor feet’s bolts, aligning the compressor and motor center line. The permissible maximum deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line ideally higher than the compressor’s low-speed shaft center line. Ensure the coupling end face deviation remains within 0.03~0.05mm.
11) After alignment, securely fasten all motor foot bolts, and carefully recheck both the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout for precision.;
12) Once alignment and precision checks are complete, install the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idle test.
3.3.4 Post alignment and levelness adjustments, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. After any mechanical operation or trial run, it’s imperative to loosen and retighten these bolts to ensure steadfast operation.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation is sensitive to any solid or liquid intrusions, which can inflict irreversible damage. Therefore, it's essential to confirm that all compressor-connected inlet and outlet pipes are impeccably clean and compliant with the system's steam corrosion standards.To safeguard the compressor, consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, right before the compressor inlet’s straight pipe.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes by following the PI diagram specifications. Ensure that all connected pipelines are supported by independent brackets, never relying on the compressor body to bear their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary components are meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has fully cured, it's time to initiate the compressor operation test, ensuring a seamless and efficient performance.
3.3.8 For optimal functionality, position the compressor's cutting-edge electric control cabinet within a 5-meter radius of the unit. Utilize threading pipes to securely channel the wiring underground from the compressor to this advanced control hub. Once positioned, ensure the wiring terminals within the control cabinet are precisely connected to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS).
