MVR, the acronym for mechanical vapor recompression, represents an innovative energy-efficient technology designed to drastically minimize the need for additional external energy inputs by ingeniously reusing the secondary steam energy it produces. The core principle driving MVR is the strategic compression of secondary steam generated by the evaporator through a highly efficient steam compressor. This process effectively transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, leading to an increase in both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. This elevated secondary steam is then recalibrated back to the evaporator, where it is utilized to heat materials and induce further evaporation, thereby achieving a remarkable recycling of the latent heat of vaporization contained within the secondary steam.
The DML series low temperature rise steam compressor is an engineering marvel primarily consisting of a robust compressor body, which includes components such as the volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seals. Additionally, this impressive device features a coupling, an efficient motor, and sophisticated electric instrumentation. Each of these components works in harmonious synergy to deliver unparalleled performance and reliability.
3.3.1 Embark on the installation journey by situating the compressor base integrally upon the carefully prepared foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect unit leveling.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately to ensure stability. Once leveled, expertly spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points. These wedges shall be
crafted and fitted by the user to align with specific conditions, ensuring a flawlessly finished contact surface for seamless integration.
Be mindful that the bearing capacity of each wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ precision leveling tools to ascertain perfect alignment. The unit's leveling criteria are exacting: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal
level of 0.10/1000mm are required for optimum performance.
3.3.3 Achieve coupling perfection through meticulous centering. Prior to commencing alignment, ensure adherence to the following steps:
1) Disengage the main power supply for safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Confirm the motor installation plane is impeccably flat and free from debris, dirt, or any obstructions;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes exceed bolt size, facilitating easy adjustments;
6) Equip yourself with enough stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's foot, ensuring they are impeccably clean and flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter, boasting an accuracy of 0.01mm, sourced by the customer;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, following the illustrated guide below;
9) Mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for accurate readings;
10) Skillfully adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center line nearly perfectly, adhering to set specifications. Ensure the motor shaft center line slightly surpasses the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, maintaining a coupling end face deviation of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely fasten the motor foot bolts, then reassess the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for impeccable alignment;
12) Post motor idle testing, confidently install the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the casing's "levelness" and alignment are perfected, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial, loosen and retighten the bolts for enduring stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed marvel, demands utmost protection. Solid or liquid intrusion spells irreversible damage. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade. Non-compliant pipelines must undergo rectification. Consider incorporating solid-liquid separation devices, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, just before the inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Seamlessly install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, adhering to the PI diagram's guidelines. The attached pipelines should be independently supported by a separate bracket, ensuring the compressor body remains free from undue weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its complementary apparatus are fully installed and the concrete foundation has achieved complete solidification, you can proceed with the compressor operation test. This ensures seamless functionality and reliability of your setup.
3.3.8 For optimal connectivity, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within 5 meters of the compressor itself. Utilize an underground threading pipe to securely connect the compressor to the control cabinet. Once the cabinet is securely situated, make sure to establish a solid connection between the wiring terminals within the cabinet and the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and efficient system integration.
