The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel, comprised of essential components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This compressor boasts a compact design that not only optimizes workspace but also ensures effortless maintenance. Its meticulously engineered structure positions it as a reliable choice for those seeking efficiency and convenience in their operations.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base securely on the foundation. Insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to finely tune and level the unit.
Position the wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the irons at 4 to 5 strategic points to ensure robust stability.
Craft and install the wedges meticulously, tailored to your specific setup. The contact surface must be expertly finished for even pressure distribution.
The load-bearing capacity of each wedge must not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve impeccable leveling. The axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal level must be maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect alignment of the coupling. Prioritize these preparatory steps before alignment:
1) Ensure complete disconnection from the main power supply for safety.
2) Remove the protective coupling shield carefully.
3) Detach the intermediate section of the diaphragm coupling with precision.
4) Inspect the motor installation plane for a flawless surface, devoid of any debris or obstructions.
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are oversized relative to the bolts, allowing for necessary adjustments.
6) Amass an adequate supply of stainless steel gaskets to ensure solid footing for the motor. Gaskets must be pristine and perfectly flat.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a high-accuracy laser alignment meter, with a precision of 0.01mm, personally sourced.
8) Prepare a robust bracket to support the dial indicator as depicted in the accompanying illustration.
9) Securely mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub bracket, ensuring the probe precisely contacts the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts carefully to align the compressor and motor center lines precisely, adhering to a maximum deviation of 0.05mm.
11) Conclude by firmly tightening the motor foot bolts, then review and confirm the coupling's outer circle and end face tolerances.;
12) Conclude by reinstalling the coupling's intermediate section post a successful motor idling examination.
3.3.4 Post alignment and level adjustments, secure the anchor bolts firmly. Following a test run, release and retighten for ultimate stability.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed dynamo; entry of any foreign solid or liquid can cause severe damage. Ensure all compressor-connected pipelines meet stringent steam corrosion standards.Consider incorporating a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the straight pipe at the compressor's inlet for added protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram diligently for accessory installation. The pipes must be independently supported, ensuring no burden on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan and its supplementary equipment is concluded and the concrete foundation has fully cured, you can proceed to conduct the compressor operation test. This step ensures that all components are seamlessly integrated and ready for optimal performance.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a convenient 5-meter range of the unit. Ensure the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet is meticulously routed through threading pipes, placed securely underground for safety and durability. Once the electric control cabinet is installed, establish a reliable connection between the wiring terminals in the cabinet and the lines at the remote DCS to ensure seamless operations and control.
