The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a sophisticated and robust piece of equipment, thoughtfully engineered to include a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design boasts a compact structure, allowing for easy maintenance and seamless operation. This well-integrated system ensures peak performance and reliability, catering to diverse industrial applications with ease and efficiency.
3.3.1 Elegantly position the compressor base on its foundation, placing wedge-shaped shims underneath to achieve precise leveling. The shims, essential for balancing the unit, should be positioned alternately.
Ensure meticulous leveling of the unit, and spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 strategic points—these components are crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the unique conditions of the site.
Attention to detail is key: the contact surface must be expertly finished to ensure an even contact along the inclined plane, with the crucial bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm
².2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to secure exacting standards. The unit's axial level must be maintained at 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should adhere to 0.10/1000mm for optimal operation.
Ensure these standards are met without compromise.
3.3.3 The coupling requires precise centering. Prior to commencing alignment, verify the following essential steps:
1) Ensure safety by turning off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access the necessary components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section with precision;
4) Examine the motor installation plane's flatness to confirm the absence of debris, dirt, or unwanted residues;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts themselves, allowing flexibility for bolt loosening and motor adjustment;
6) Assemble ample stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's footing. Ensure these are devoid of any impurities and sufficiently flat, steering clear of long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter boasting 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer);
8) Secure a mounting bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub bracket for precise dial indicator placement along the wheel hub's edge, ensuring the probe addresses the compressor wheel hub accurately;
10) Fine-tune the motor feet's adjustment bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines meticulously. The outer circle's deviation should not surpass 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. The coupling end face deviation should remain within 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and meticulously review the coupling's outer circle and end face runouts.;
12) Upon successful motor idling tests, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section to finalize preparations.
3.3.4 After achieving flawless 'levelness' and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. Upon completion of the mechanical operation or trial, retighten for assurance.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-velocity component, requires protection from unwanted solid or liquid intrusion to avoid irreversible harm to the compressor. Assure cleanliness and corrosion compliance of the connected inlet and outlet pipelines. Non-compliant pipelines must undergo rectification. For enhanced safety, incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the compressor's inlet straight pipe.It is suggested to add this precautionary equipment for optimal performance.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram for precise installation of appropriate pipeline accessories. Ensure that pipelines connecting to the compressor are independently supported by alternative brackets, ensuring the compressor body is free from undue weight support.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment have been meticulously installed, allowing the concrete to harden thoroughly, the stage is set for the compressor operation test. This marks a pivotal moment in ensuring the seamless and optimal performance of our state-of-the-art systems.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter range from the compressor. The interconnecting wiring should be securely threaded through piping, routed underground, to ensure both safety and efficiency. Upon positioning the electric control cabinet, proceed to connect its wiring terminals seamlessly with the remote DCS lines, guaranteeing a robust and reliable operational framework.
