MVR, an abbreviation for mechanical vapor recompression, is a cutting-edge, energy-efficient technology designed to significantly decrease the reliance on external energy resources. At its core, MVR operates on a principle where the secondary steam generated by an evaporator is skillfully compressed using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, elevating both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. As a result, the heated steam returns to the evaporator, effectively warming the materials and inducing evaporation. The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, meticulously designed to include essential components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. It boasts a compact and space-saving structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and operation. This state-of-the-art compressor is tailored to deliver dependable performance and long-lasting durability.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be meticulously placed as a single unit on the foundation. To achieve precise leveling, position wedge-shaped shims strategically beneath the base.
Employ alternating wedge-shaped irons, and once the unit is leveled to perfection, secure the irons with spot welds at 4 to 5 points for optimal stability.
The wedges must be crafted and positioned by the user, tailored to the practical setup, ensuring a seamless contact surface with uniform distribution across the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of each wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to establish the unit's precise orientation. The leveling specifications require an axial level accuracy of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Ensure proper alignment of the coupling by adhering to these essential pre-alignment checks:
1) Ensure the main power supply is securely turned off;
2) Safely remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section carefully;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring it is free from debris, dirt, and any attachments;
5) Confirm that the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts to allow for loosening and precise motor adjustments;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor's feet, ensuring they are clean, flat, and devoid of attachments. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Use a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter, with precision up to 0.01mm (procured by the customer);
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, and align the indicator probe with the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines. Aim for a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly above the compressor low-speed shaft center line, with coupling end face deviations kept between 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then meticulously recheck both the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Post idle testing of the motor, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section securely.
3.3.4 Following the careful adjustment of the casing's levelness and alignment, firmly secure the anchor bolts. After a successful mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and re-tighten them for reinforced security.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotational component, necessitates pristine conditions to prevent irreversible damage. Guarantee that all connecting inlet and outlet pipelines are spotless and comply with system steam corrosion standards. Pipelines that fall short must be rectified promptly. Consider installing solid-liquid separation devices like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees preceding the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Execute the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Adhere strictly to the PI diagram for pipeline accessory installation. Ensure that the pipes connecting to the compressor are independently supported by an alternate bracket, ensuring no undue weight is carried by the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the installation of the main fan along with its supporting equipment is complete and the concrete foundation has fully cured, you are ready to proceed with the compressor operation test. This marks a critical step in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the entire system.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically positioned within 5 meters of the compressor. The wiring, meticulously connected through underground threading pipes, serves as the crucial link between the compressor and the electric control cabinet. Following the precise installation of the electric control cabinet, carefully connect the wiring terminals within it to the remote DCS lines, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
