3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally on a solid foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, which serve to adjust the unit's level.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, secure the placement by spot welding the wedge-shaped irons at 4 to 5 points, ensuring stability.
These wedges should be crafted and installed by the user based on the actual circumstances. Ensure the contact surface is finely finished for even contact along the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2..
3.3.2 Use a precision level to ensure perfect alignment. The leveling requirements are exacting: the axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal level must be 0.10/1000mm.
Ensure these precise measurements are met for optimal functionality and efficiency.
3.3.3 The coupling must be expertly centered. Before commencing alignment, confirm the following pre-requisites are fulfilled:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off to prevent any accidental power surge.
2) Detach the coupling shield to allow clear access for adjustments.
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate centering.
4) Check the motor installation plane for a flawless, debris-free surface to ensure accurate alignment.
5) The motor bolt holes should be slightly larger than the bolts themselves to permit easy adjustment and fine-tuning of the motor's position.
6) Gather sufficient stainless steel gaskets to underlay the motor feet. These gaskets must be devoid of any contaminants and perfectly flat. Avoid using elongated gaskets that could distort adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm, which should be provided by the customer.
8) Have a sturdy bracket ready to support the dial indicator as illustrated.
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator on the hub's periphery, placing the probe on the outer rim of the compressor wheel hub.
10) By meticulously adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines. Aim for a maximum deviation of the outer circle of 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft. The coupling end face should be within 0.03~0.05mm tolerance.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts once alignment is complete, and reassess the outer circle runout and end face runout to confirm accuracy..
12) Following a successful motor idling test, replace the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Once the 'levelness' and alignment of the casing are thoroughly adjusted, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and retighten these bolts to ensure durability.
3.3.5 It is crucial to protect the impeller, a high-speed rotating component, from any solid or liquid intrusion, which could cause severe damage to the compressor. Ensure all inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and comply with the system's steam corrosion standards. Pipelines failing to meet these standards must be promptly rectified.It is advisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, ahead of the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Import and export pipelines should be equipped with the necessary accessories as per the PI diagram. It is imperative that the pipelines are supported by an independent bracket, without burdening the compressor body with their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting devices are fully installed and the concrete has solidified completely, the stage is set for conducting the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures the system is primed for peak performance.
3.3.8 Position the compressor's electric control cabinet within a strategic 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Ensure seamless connectivity by using threading pipes for the wiring, channeling them underground for optimal protection and aesthetics. Once the electric control cabinet is situated, it's essential to connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, completing the setup with precision.
