3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base securely onto the foundation. Carefully insert wedge-shaped shims under the base, which will be instrumental in leveling the unit. This thoughtful foundation ensures stability and optimal operation.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons, securing them by spot welding at 4 to 5 strategic points once leveling is achieved. This meticulous attention to detail ensures unwavering stability.
Wedges must be crafted and installed according to specific user requirements, ensuring the contact surfaces are perfectly finished for even, seamless contact of the inclined plane.
In order to maintain structural integrity, the bearing capacity of each wedge iron is capped at 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a high-precision level to achieve an impeccably level unit. The exacting standards demand an axial level precision of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level precision of 0.10/1000mm, ensuring perfect alignment.
3.3.3 Achieve precision by centering the coupling. Prior to starting the alignment process, ensure the following essential prerequisites are met:
1) Ensure safety by cutting the main power supply first.
2) Detach the coupling shield to access the components.
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section.
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it is free from any debris, dirt, or unwanted attachments.
5) Design the motor bolt hole larger than the bolt itself, allowing flexibility to adjust the motor's position by loosening the bolts.
6) Prepare an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's feet. Ensure these gaskets are free from impurities and sufficiently flat; avoid inserting long and slender gaskets between motor and base for adjustments.
7) Employ a precise dial indicator or laser alignment meter, with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which must be provided by the customer.
8) Assemble the support bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying figure.
9) Utilize the motor hub mounting bracket to place a dial indicator on the hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) By fine-tuning the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center lines to be nearly identical. The maximum deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line ideally higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. Coupling end face tolerances must be maintained between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Secure the motor foot bolts firmly, and revisit the outer circle runout and end face runout for precision.;
12) Post a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section to complete the alignment process.
3.3.4 Once the casing's levelness and alignment are adjusted, tighten the anchor bolts. Upon completion of mechanical testing, or trial runs, re-tighten the bolts to ensure robustness and reliability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating component, demands protection from any solid or liquid intrusion to avoid irreversible damage. Ensure that all inlet and outlet pipelines linked to the compressor are pristine and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade requirements. Pipelines that fail to meet this standard must be promptly rectified.For enhanced safety, it is recommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere to the PI diagram for the installation of relevant pipeline accessories. It is crucial that pipelines connected to the compressor are supported by separate brackets, ensuring that their weight is not borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its accompanying equipment are expertly installed and the concrete base has reached its full strength, it will be time to initiate the compressor's operation test. This crucial step ensures the readiness and reliability of the system.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. To ensure seamless connectivity, the wiring should be encased in a threading pipe that is carefully positioned underground. Once the electric control cabinet is properly situated, it's essential to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS). This setup guarantees efficient and secure system operations.
