At its core, the process involves compressing the secondary steam generated by the evaporator using a highly efficient steam compressor. This clever conversion of electrical energy into thermal energy results in an increase in both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The elevated temperature allows the secondary steam to return to the evaporator where it serves a dual purpose: it heats the materials and facilitates further evaporation. Through this elegant process, the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam is efficiently recycled, optimizing energy use and reducing waste.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising several key components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and a sophisticated anti-surge control system. Its design is characterized by a compact structure, making it not only efficient but also remarkably easy to maintain. This streamlined configuration ensures optimal functionality while minimizing downtime, providing a seamless experience for operators and technicians alike.
3.3.1 Begin by securely placing the compressor base onto its foundation. Position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base for precision leveling.
Alternate two wedge-shaped irons during leveling. Once the unit is level, perform spot welding at 4 to 5 points to secure the shims.
The shims should be crafted and installed by the user to suit specific conditions, ensuring a refined contact surface for smooth engagement.
It's crucial that the wedge iron bears no more than 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilizing a level tool is essential to achieve perfect alignment. The axial precision must reach 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level requires 0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Attention to coupling centering is critical. Prior to alignment, ensure these preliminary steps are completed:
1) Deactivate the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield to access internal components;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's central section for further alignment;
4) Inspect the motor's installation surface for cleanliness, ensuring no debris or unwanted particles are present;
5) Confirm that motor bolt holes are suitably larger than bolt sizes for easy adjustments;
6) Gather stainless steel gaskets to stabilize the motor's footing. Avoid using elongated gaskets for this purpose.
7) Employ either a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm precision for accurate alignment.
8) Set up a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated below.
9) Install the motor hub bracket for the dial indicator to measure the compressor wheel hub's outer edge accurately.
10) Adjust the motor foot bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines, maintaining a maximum deviation of 0.05mm for optimal operation.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, and recheck the coupling's outer circle and end face deviations for preciseness.;
12) Reassemble the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test to verify seamless operation.
3.3.4 After fine-tuning the casing's levelness and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. Post-operation, revisit and retighten for assurance.
3.3.5 The impeller, a pivotal high-speed element, requires careful protection from foreign matter, which could lead to irreparable damage. Maintain clean inlet and outlet pipelines to meet system steam corrosion specs.Consider integrating solid-liquid separation devices, like gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, to enhance system reliability and longevity.
3.3.6 When installing compressor pipelines, ensure all relevant accessories comply with PI diagrams. Independent support for pipelines is vital to avoid undue stress on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are expertly installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, it is time to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures all components are perfectly synchronized and ready for peak performance.
3.3.8 For optimal efficiency, position the electric control cabinet within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. Utilize threading pipes for the wiring, strategically running them underground to maintain a sleek and organized appearance. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring seamless and reliable communication.
