3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally onto the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure the unit is level. These shims are essential for balance adjustment.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once leveling is complete, spot weld the wedges at four to five points to secure them in place. This ensures stability and accuracy.
The wedge installation should be customized by the user to match the specific conditions. The contact surface must be finished for even contact; this ensures the inclined plane properly supports weight.
Ensure that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm squared, which is crucial for maintaining structural integrity.2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve perfect balance. The unit's axial level should be 0.05 per 1000mm, while the horizontal level should be 0.10 per 1000mm for optimal performance.
Ensure these leveling parameters are met to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
3.3.3 Coupling alignment is critical. Ensure you meet the following prerequisites before starting the alignment process:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off for safety.
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access the components.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to allow for precise adjustments.
4) Inspect the motor's installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring it is free of debris, dirt, and attachments that may hinder performance.
5) Motor bolt holes should exceed bolt sizes to allow easy adjustment and alignment of the motor.
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to support the motor's foot. Ensure they are clean and flat to avoid any misalignment.
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment tool with 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer) for precise measurements.
8) Prepare the supporting bracket for the dial indicator, following the illustrated guide for accurate setup.
9) Attach the motor wheel hub bracket, positioning the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge for exact readings.
10) Adjust the motor foot bolts to align the compressor and motor centerlines accurately. The maximum deviation for the outer circle should be 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft centerline is slightly higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft centerline. The coupling end face should be within 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Once alignment is verified, securely tighten the motor foot bolts. Reassess the coupling's outer circle and end face runout to confirm precision.;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful motor idling test to ensure everything is in optimal condition.
3.3.4 Once the casing's levelness and alignment are perfected, tighten the anchor bolts. After mechanical or trial operation, loosen and then retighten the bolts for maximum security.
3.3.5 The impeller spins at high speed, so it's pivotal to prevent any solid or liquid ingress to avoid irreparable damage. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and meet the required steam corrosion grade. Install solid-liquid separation equipment, like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe if necessary.
3.3.6 Fit the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with the appropriate accessories as depicted in the PI diagram. Secure the pipelines separately, ensuring their weight isn't borne by the compressor body itself.
3.3.7 Post installation of the main fan and auxiliary equipment—once the concrete sets—the compressor is ready for its operational test, ensuring everything functions seamlessly.
