3.3.1 Begin by positioning the compressor base securely on the foundation. To achieve precise leveling of the unit, insert wedge-shaped shims under the base.
Place two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is leveled, spot-weld these wedges at 4 to 5 points. Ensure the wedges are
crafted and installed by the user to suit specific needs. The contact surface should be finely finished for even contact of inclined
planes, ensuring the wedge iron does not exceed a bearing capacity of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 With a level, ascertain the unit's precision. The unit's axial level should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should be
0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Properly center the coupling. Before proceeding with alignment, confirm the following crucial steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is turned off.
2) Dismantle the coupling shield securely.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section carefully.
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it's free of foreign objects, dirt, and attachments.
5) The motor's bolt holes should exceed the bolt size, allowing the bolts to be loosened for precise motor adjustments.
6) Prepare ample stainless-steel gaskets for motor foot coverage. These should be free from attachments and sufficiently flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments between motor and base.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm (customer-provided).
8) Prepare a bracket for supporting the dial indicator, as illustrated below;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to attach a dial indicator at the wheel hub's edge, placing the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to ensure the compressor and motor center line align (or adhere to specified instructions). The maximum deviation for the outer circle should be 0.05mm, with the motor shaft's center line positioned higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line. The coupling end face should range between 0.03 and 0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, and reassess the coupling's outer circle and end face runout.;
12) Once the motor has undergone an idling test, reassemble the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Following the alignment and leveling of the casing, tighten the anchor bolts. Post-mechanical or trial operation, loosen the bolts and re-tighten them for safety.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating component. Any solid or liquid entering can cause irreversible damage to the compressor. Thus, it is imperative to maintain clean inlet and outlet pipelines that conform to the system's steam corrosion grade. Pipelines not meeting these specifications must be rectified.It is recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment (such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees) before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. The import and export pipelines should be fitted with corresponding pipeline accessories, adhering to the PI diagram. Ensure the pipeline linked to the compressor is supported by a separate bracket, as the compressor body should not bear its weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all associated ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed, and the concrete foundation has achieved full solidification, it's time to proceed with the compressor operation test. This critical step ensures optimal performance and reliability, setting the stage for seamless functionality.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Ensure that the wiring connecting the compressor to the electric control cabinet is expertly managed using threading pipes, which should be securely installed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is fully situated, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, thus facilitating a streamlined and efficient operational setup.
