Our DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is an engineering marvel, featuring a meticulously designed compressor body, robust coupling, high-performance gearbox, and a state-of-the-art lubrication system. 3.3.1 The compressor base should be carefully placed as a single unit on its designated foundation. Ensure to place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve precise leveling of the unit.
Position two wedge-shaped irons alternately. After achieving perfect leveling, secure the irons with a spot weld at four to five points. The wedges must be
custom-manufactured and installed by the user to accommodate prevailing conditions. Ensure the contact surfaces are finished for even contact,
with the bearing capacity of each wedge iron not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to ascertain the unit is balanced. The leveling criteria demand that the axial level stands at 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal
level is maintained at 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment by checking the following essentials before proceeding:
1) Deactivate the primary power supply for safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor installation surface is impeccably flat, without any foreign particles, dust, or residues;
5) Ensure the motor's bolt holes are larger than the bolts, allowing for bolt adjustment and motor alignment;
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to fully support the motor's feet. The gaskets should be free from debris and sufficiently flat. Avoid using long and thin gaskets for adjustments;
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter (accuracy of 0.01mm), which needs to be provided by the customer;
8) Set up a support bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Mount a dial indicator on the edge of the wheel hub using the motor wheel hub mounting bracket, placing its probe on the outer edge of the compressor wheel hub;
10) Adjust the motor foot bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines accurately. The maximum deviation of the outer circle is maintained at 0.05mm, ensuring the motor shaft center line is slightly elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with a coupling end face tolerance of 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude the alignment by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, followed by a thorough review of the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section post motor idle test.
3.3.4 Once the levelness and alignment of the casing are confirmed, firmly fasten the anchor bolts. After conducting a mechanical or trial operation, loosen and retighten the bolts for added security.
3.3.5 The impeller, a critical high-speed component, must remain free from any solid or liquid intrusion, as these can inflict irreversible compressor damage. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are impeccably clean and meet system steam corrosion grade requirements. Any non-compliant pipelines must be corrected, and it is highlyrecommended to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. The import and export pipelines must feature appropriate pipe accessories as indicated in the PI diagram. The pipeline affixed to the compressor should rely on a separate support bracket, ensuring its weight is not borne by the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its auxiliary equipment are securely in place and the concrete foundation has fully cured, you are ready to proceed with the compressor operation test. This critical step ensures optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the unit. Ensure all wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet is deftly connected using threading pipe that is routed underground. After the electric control cabinet is securely stationed, meticulously connect the terminal wires within the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring seamless integration and control.
