MVR, or Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is an innovative energy-saving technology designed to significantly reduce the need for external energy sources by ingeniously recycling the secondary steam energy it produces. The core principle of this advanced system involves compressing the secondary steam—produced by the evaporator—with a highly efficient steam compressor. This process cleverly converts electrical energy into thermal energy, effectively elevating the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The increased temperature then allows the secondary steam to return to the evaporator, where it heats materials and generates evaporation. This clever cycle enables the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, maximizing efficiency and sustainability.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is expertly engineered to include a comprehensive assembly of essential components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This sophisticated equipment is designed with a compact structure, ensuring ease of maintenance and high reliability.
3.3.1 The compressor base should be meticulously placed on the foundation, ensuring to position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base—these are essential for achieving perfect leveling of the unit.
Alternately arrange two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is leveled to perfection, proceed to spot weld the wedge-shaped irons at four to five strategic points for optimal stability. The wedge should be
crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions. Ensure the contact surface is smooth and even, guaranteeing uniform contact of inclined
planes. Note that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not be exceeded beyond 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to achieve accurate leveling. The meticulous leveling requirements of the unit are as follows: the axial level of the unit is 0.05/1000mm, and the horizontal
level of the unit stands at 0.10/1000mm, ensuring impeccable alignment.
3.3.3 Coupling alignment is crucial. Before proceeding with centering, verify the following imperative conditions:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Carefully remove the protective coupling shield;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for access and adjustment;
4) Thoroughly check the motor installation surface for flatness to ensure it is free from debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) Verify that the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolt size, enabling easy loosening for motor adjustments;
6) Have adequate stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor foot. These gaskets must be devoid of attachments and perfectly flat; avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a high-precision laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which the customer should prepare in advance;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket for supporting the dial indicator as illustrated in the diagram below;
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for securing a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, positioning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) By adjusting the bolts around the motor feet, align the compressor and motor center line accurately (or as directed by specific instructions), maintaining the maximum deviation of the outer circle at 0.05mm. The motor shaft center line should sit higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, with the coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, then meticulously reassess the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section following a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 After achieving precise 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial operation, it's essential to loosen, then retighten these bolts for sustained security.
3.3.5 The impeller is a high-speed rotating component, and entry of any solid or liquid can result in irreversible damage to the compressor. It is critical to ensure that the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor remain pristine and adhere to the steam corrosion grade standards of the system. Any pipelines failing to meet these criteria must be corrected. It is highlyrecommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, strategically placed before the straight pipe at the compressor inlet for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. According to the PI diagram, fit the necessary pipeline accessories. Ensure the pipeline linked to the compressor is supported by an independent bracket, with its weight never imposed on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the majestic main fan and its associated ancillary equipment have been meticulously installed, and the concrete foundations have achieved complete solidity, it becomes the perfect moment to initiate the exhilarating compressor operation test.
3.3.8 The sophisticated electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. To ensure seamless connectivity, the wiring from the compressor to this control cabinet should be expertly threaded through a conduit, discreetly placed underground. Once this control hub is established, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS (Distributed Control System), ensuring flawless operation and control.
