3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally onto the foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve level adjustment.
Alternate the placement of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is leveled, secure the wedge irons by spot welding at 4 to 5 points, ensuring stability.
The wedge must be tailored and installed by the user, taking into account real-world conditions, guaranteeing a finely finished contact surface.
Ensure even contact across the inclined plane, with a bearing capacity of no more than 40 Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Use a precision level to ensure perfect leveling. The leveling precision for the unit should be: axial level at 0.05/1000mm, and horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm.
Maintain these exacting standards for peak operational performance.
3.3.3 Coupling Centering: Essential Pre-Alignment Steps
1) Ensure complete safety by turning off the main power supply;
2) Remove the protective coupling shield for unobstructed access;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane meticulously, ensuring it's devoid of debris, grime, and attachments;
5) Verify that the motor bolt holes exceed bolt sizes, allowing bolts to be loosened for motor adjustments;
6) Stock up on sufficient stainless steel gaskets to support the motor foot, ensuring they are attachment-free and perfectly flat. Avoid using elongated, thin gaskets for motor-base adjustments;
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with 0.01mm precision, provided by the customer;
8) Prepare the specialized bracket to hold the dial indicator, as illustrated below;
9) Use the motor hub mounting bracket to position a dial indicator on the wheel hub edge, placing the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Fine-tune adjustment bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines precisely (or follow specific instructions), with a maximum deviation of 0.05mm for the outer circle. The motor shaft center line should remain higher than the low-speed shaft of the compressor, and coupling end face should maintain 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then meticulously reassess the outer circle runout and end face runout of the coupling;
12) Conclude by installing the coupling intermediate section post-motor idling test.
3.3.4 Post-alignment Protocol: After achieving precise levelness and alignment of the casing, tighten the anchor bolts firmly. Following mechanical or trial operation, it's advisable to loosen and re-tighten the bolts to ensure ongoing stability.
3.3.5 Protecting the Impeller: As the impeller operates at high speeds, any foreign solid or liquid can cause irreversible damage, necessitating impeccable cleanliness of the inlet and outlet pipelines. Ensure compliance with the system's steam corrosion grade. Non-compliant pipelines demand immediate rectification.Consider integrating solid-liquid separation equipment (such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee) before the straight pipe leading to the compressor inlet.
3.3.6 Fitting the Inlet and Outlet Pipes: Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes adhering strictly to the PI diagram. All pipelines must be supported independently, with no undue weight burdening the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete has fully set, it's time to embark on the essential compressor operation test. This step is crucial to ensure everything functions seamlessly.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet optimally within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. For a streamlined and organized setup, use threading pipe to connect the wiring from the compressor to the control cabinet, ensuring it goes underground for safety and tidiness. After securing the cabinet in its designated spot, meticulously connect the wiring terminals inside the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS to ensure flawless communication and operation.
