The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of engineering, encompassing a meticulous assembly of components including a compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 The robust compressor base should be securely positioned on the foundation. For precise leveling, insert wedge-shaped shims beneath the base.
Strategically place two wedge-shaped irons in an alternating manner. Once leveled, spot weld these wedges at 4~5 crucial points to ensure stability.
Users must craft and install these wedges tailored to the specific setup. The contact surface should be precisely finished to ensure even surface contact.
Ensure that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm².2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to achieve impeccable alignment. The axial alignment of the unit should achieve a precision of 0.05/1000mm, while horizontal alignment is maintained at 0.10/1000mm.
Precision and care are essential to ensure optimal performance.
3.3.3 Center the coupling with meticulous precision. Before proceeding, ensure the following prerequisites are satisfied:
1) Deactivate the main power supply for safety.
2) Detach the coupling shield to allow access.
3) Carefully remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section.
4) Ensure the motor installation surface is impeccably clean and flat, free from any debris or attachments.
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are adequately larger than the bolts for easy adjustment.
6) Secure sufficient stainless steel gaskets to support the motor, ensuring they are immaculately clean and flat. Avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, to be provided by the customer.
8) Prepare a robust bracket as illustrated to support the dial indicator.
9) Mount the dial indicator on the motor wheel hub bracket, positioning the probe accurately on the wheel hub's edge.
10) Adjust motor foot bolts to align the compressor and motor centerlines. Ensure a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm and coupling end face deviation between 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten motor foot bolts, verifying outer circle and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Reinstall the coupling's intermediate section following a successful idling test of the motor.
3.3.4 Once the casing's 'levelness' and alignment are perfected, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial, recheck and retighten these bolts to maintain solidity.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed component, must remain free from solid or liquid intrusion to avoid irreversible damage. Ensure all inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the compressor are pristine and conform to system steam corrosion standards. Rectify any pipelines failing to meet these criteria.Enhance system protection by installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, prior to the compressor's inlet.
3.3.6 Install compressor inlet and outlet pipes with precision, incorporating relevant accessories as per the PI diagram. Ensure that the weight of the pipelines is supported by an independent bracket, not the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the primary fan and its auxiliary components have been meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has reached complete solidification, you are ready to proceed with the compressor operation test. This step is crucial to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
3.3.8 For efficient operation, the electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter proximity to the compressor itself. Ensure seamless connectivity by threading the wiring through underground pipes, linking the compressor to the electric control cabinet. Once the control cabinet is securely in place, establish connection by linking the terminal wires in the cabinet with the remote DCS lines, ensuring a robust and reliable electrical network.
