MVR, or Mechanical Vapor Recompression, is a groundbreaking energy-saving technology designed to drastically reduce the need for external energy sources by cleverly reusing the secondary steam energy it produces. The fundamental principle revolves around harnessing the secondary steam generated by the evaporator. This steam is then compressed using a high-efficiency steam compressor, transforming electrical energy into thermal energy. This results in an increase in both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. The elevated temperature returns this steam to the evaporator, where it heats the materials, prompting further evaporation. This ingenious process enables the recycling of the latent heat of vaporization of the secondary steam, championing energy efficiency and sustainability.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering marvel, composed of several key components: the compressor body, coupling, efficient gearbox, advanced lubrication system, robust motor, state-of-the-art electric instrumentation, and a sophisticated anti-surge control system. It boasts a compact structure, making it incredibly convenient for maintenance. This meticulously designed compressor promises reliability and ease of use, making it an indispensable asset for modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Introduce wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve unit level adjustment. This will ensure stability and precision in operation.
Alternate the placement of wedge-shaped irons for optimal leveling, then secure them with spot welds at 4 to 5 points. This precise welding ensures durability and steadiness.
The user should manufacture and install the wedge according to specific conditions. Ensure the contact surface is finely finished for an even connection with the inclined plane.
The bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to achieve perfection in leveling. The axial level precision required for the unit is 0.05/1000mm and the horizontal level is 0.10/1000mm, ensuring impeccable alignment.
Maintain these standards to guarantee flawless operational efficiency.
3.3.3 For coupling alignment, ensure the following prerequisites are met before initiating the procedure:
1) Ensure safety by turning off the main power supply;
2) Detach the coupling shield to facilitate access;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to prepare for alignment;
4) Assess the motor installation plane for any debris or dirt, ensuring a clean, flat surface for optimal alignment;
5) The motor bolt holes should exceed bolt size, allowing bolts to be loosened for precise motor adjustments;
6) Utilize flat, stainless steel gaskets under the motor's feet. Ensure these gaskets are clean, sturdy, and not excessively long, as unsuitable gaskets can impair alignment;
7) Employ a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy (customer-supplied) for perfect alignment;
8) Prepare a sturdy support bracket for the dial indicator, as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) Use a motor wheel hub mounting bracket for placing a dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub edge, ensuring precise alignment measurements;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to align the compressor and motor center lines. Maximum deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line slightly higher than the compressor shaft line, and coupling end face deviation between 0.03-0.05mm;
11) Conclude by securely tightening motor foot bolts, and review the outer circle and end face runout to ensure alignment integrity;;
12) Once motor idling tests are satisfactory, proceed with reinstalling the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 After achieving precise alignment and leveling of the casing, secure the anchor bolts. Following mechanical operation, loosen, then retighten the bolts to maintain firm stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed component, must remain free from solid or liquid contaminants to avoid irreversible damage. Ensure the attached pipelines are clean and adhere to the steam corrosion grade specifications. Rectify any pipelines that fall short of these standards.It is advisable to incorporate solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Ensure all piping accessories are installed as per the PI diagram. Pipelines should be supported independently by a separate bracket to prevent undue burden on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its associated equipment are precisely installed and the concrete foundation has reached full solidity, the next step is to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial phase ensures everything is perfectly aligned for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet, integral to the compressor's functionality, should be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Employ a threading pipe for the wiring, which should be securely embedded underground, to establish a robust connection between the compressor and the control cabinet. Once the control cabinet is in place, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the corresponding lines at the remote DCS, ensuring seamless, efficient operation.
