The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is an engineering marvel, encompassing a range of integral components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and anti-surge control system. 3.3.1 The compressor base should be carefully placed onto the foundation, ensuring stability by positioning wedge-shaped shims beneath it. These shims allow for precise leveling of the unit.
Secure the unit by alternating two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is leveled accurately, spot weld these irons at 4 to 5 key points for maximum stability.
The user must manufacture and install these wedges based on their specific needs, ensuring a finely finished contact surface for uniform pressure distribution.
Please note, the load-bearing capacity of the wedge iron should not exceed 40 Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Utilize a level to ensure precision. The unit's leveling requirements are meticulous: an axial level of 0.05/1000mm and a horizontal level of 0.10/1000mm guarantee optimal performance.
These specifications are essential for the operation of your compressor.
3.3.3 Coupling precision is crucial. Ensure the following steps are completed prior to alignment:
1) The main power supply should be completely turned off to prevent any accidents.
2) Remove the protective coupling shield to access the necessary components.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for ease of alignment.
4) Check the motor installation plane for flatness, ensuring it is free from debris and contaminants.
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are larger than the bolts to allow for adjustments.
6) Adequately prepare stainless steel gaskets for the motor feet, ensuring they are clean and flat. Avoid using long or thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Employ a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter (0.01mm precision), provided by the customer, for precise alignment.
8) Prepare a suitable bracket to support the dial indicator as indicated in the schematic.
9) Utilize the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position the dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's periphery for accurate readings.
10) Align the compressor and motor center lines by adjusting the motor feet bolts, maintaining a minimal outer circle deviation of 0.05mm (ensure the motor shaft center line is slightly higher). The coupling end face should be within 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Finalize by tightening the motor foot bolts, then reassess the outer circle and coupling end face for any runout.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section after conducting a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Following the successful adjustment of 'levelness' and alignment, securely tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operation or trial, loosen and retighten the bolts for optimal security.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation demands that no solid or liquid materials enter, as they can cause critical damage. Ensure all inlet and outlet compressor pipelines are clean and compliant with system steam corrosion standards.For optimal performance, consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 When installing compressor inlet and outlet pipes, follow the PI diagram for the correct pipeline accessories. Ensure pipelines are independently supported by brackets, relieving the compressor body of their weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its supporting equipment have been expertly installed and the concrete foundation has achieved full solidity, you're set to initiate the exhilarating compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is primed and ready for optimal performance.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet prudently within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. To establish a seamless connection, thread the wiring through durable piping that runs discreetly underground. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly situated, meticulously connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a flawless integration.
