3.3.1 Begin by firmly placing the compressor base integrally onto the foundation. Ensure you use wedge-shaped shims under the base to achieve a perfect level for the unit. This crucial step ensures stability and efficiency.
Alternately place two wedge-shaped irons beneath the base. Once the unit is level, proceed to spot weld these irons securely at 4-5 strategic points, providing a steadfast foundation.
The user is responsible for manufacturing and installing the wedges according to their specific requirements. Ensure that the contact surfaces are finely finished to achieve even contact on inclined planes.
Remember, the bearing capacity of each wedge iron should not exceed the limit of 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Using a level, ensure the entire unit is perfectly leveled. For precision, the axial level must be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level requirement is 0.10/1000mm, ensuring optimal alignment.
These measurements are critical for the flawless operation of your system.
3.3.3 Perfect alignment is vital. Before commencing, verify these essential prerequisites:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section for access;
4) Ensure the motor installation surface is perfectly clean, free from any debris or attachments;
5) The motor's bolt hole should exceed the bolt size to allow for loosening and precise motor adjustments;
6) Prepare an adequate number of stainless steel gaskets to rest under the motor feet. These gaskets must be flat and free of attachments, avoiding long and thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Utilize a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which should be procured by the customer;
8) Prepare the appropriate bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated below;
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to place a dial indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts so that the motor and compressor center lines align perfectly, with a maximum outer circle deviation of 0.05mm. Note: The motor shaft center should be slightly higher than the compressor low-speed shaft center line, with a coupling end face tolerance of 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then reassess the coupling's outer circle runout and end face runout to ensure precision alignment.;
12) Once the motor passes the idling test, proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of 'levelness' and alignment, anchor bolts must be tightened. Conduct mechanical or trial operations, then loosen and retighten bolts to secure the setup.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating component, must remain free from solids or liquids to avoid irreversible damage. Ensure both inlet and outlet pipelines are immaculate and adhere to steam corrosion standards. If not, rectifications are necessary. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe to maintain cleanliness and protection.
3.3.6 Securely install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, ensuring all relevant pipeline accessories are in place as per the PI diagram. The pipeline connected to the compressor should be supported independently, not by the compressor body, to avoid undue stress and maintain operational integrity.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its ancillary equipment are meticulously installed, and the concrete has achieved full solidity, you are ready to embark on the exhilarating compressor operation test.
