The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is a marvel of modern engineering, featuring a meticulously designed assembly that includes the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and an advanced anti-surge control system. This state-of-the-art compressor boasts a compact design, making it exceptionally easy to maintain while delivering unparalleled performance in its class.
3.3.1 Begin by securely placing the compressor base integrally onto its foundation. Ensure stability by positioning wedge-shaped shims beneath the base, which allow precise leveling adjustments.
Utilize alternating wedge-shaped irons for optimal balance. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, spot weld the irons at 4-5 points for secure placement.
These wedges should be fabricated and installed by the user, tailored to the specific requirements of the installation environment, ensuring even contact on inclined planes.
Ensure that each wedge has a bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a level to achieve precision. Adhere to stringent leveling specifications: the axial level tolerance is 0.05 per 1000mm, while the horizontal level must maintain 0.10 per 1000mm.
Ensure these parameters are strictly followed to maintain optimal performance.
3.3.3 Attain perfect alignment of the coupling by confirming the following preparatory steps:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely turned off to guarantee safety.
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access internal components.
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to prepare for alignment.
4) Verify that the motor's installation surface is flawlessly flat, devoid of debris or residual attachments.
5) Ensure that motor bolt holes possess adequate clearance, allowing bolts to be loosened for motor adjustment.
6) Gather sufficient flat stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's feet, avoiding use of long, thin gaskets which may compromise alignment.
7) Utilize a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter (accuracy: 0.01mm), acquired separately by the customer.
8) Prepare a robust bracket for supporting the dial indicator as illustrated.
9) Employ a motor wheel hub mounting bracket to facilitate dial indicator placement along the wheel hub's edge, enhancing measurement accuracy.
10) Fine-tune the adjustment bolts around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines precisely, with an outer circle deviation of just 0.05mm.
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts, re-evaluating outer circle and end face runouts for consistency.;
12) Following a successful motor idling test, proceed to install the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of the casing's level and alignment, tighten anchor bolts. After conducting mechanical operations or trials, re-tighten them to ensure stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating element, must remain free of solid or liquid contaminants to prevent irreversible damage. Ensure all connected pipelines meet stringent cleanliness and steam corrosion standards.It is advisable to install solid-liquid separation equipment, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, upstream of the compressor inlet to ensure system protection.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes, ensuring all pipeline accessories are fitted according to the PI diagram. Support all pipelines with separate brackets to avoid excess weight bearing on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supportive equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete has fully set, it's time to embark on the exciting compressor operation test. This critical step ensures everything is primed for peak functionality.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet strategically within a convenient 5m radius of the compressor. Ensure seamless connectivity by threading the wiring through robust pipes placed underground. Upon securing the cabinet in its designated spot, establish a flawless connection by linking the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the remote DCS lines, ensuring a seamless integration.
