The DML Series Low Temperature Rise Steam Compressor is a marvel of modern engineering, expertly designed with precision components. At its core lies the compressor body, comprising of a volute, impeller, main shaft, bearing housing, and seal. Paired seamlessly with a coupling and motor, it also includes an electric instrument that ensures optimal performance. 3.3.1 The compressor base is to be expertly positioned on the foundation. Carefully place wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling of the unit.
Arrange the wedge-shaped irons in an alternating pattern. Once the unit is leveled, skillfully spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 points for optimal stability.
Craft and install the wedges meticulously based on individual requirements, ensuring that the contact surfaces are precisely finished for seamless, even contact.
Ensure the inclined plane's contact is even, with the wedge iron's bearing capacity not exceeding an impressive 40Kg/cm2.)
3.3.2 Employ a level to fine-tune the unit's alignment. The unit's axial level should be precisely 0.05/1000mm, and its horizontal level should be no more than 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Coupling alignment is key. Prior to commencing alignment, ensure these critical steps are taken:
1) Securely switch off the main power supply;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section;
4) Thoroughly inspect the motor's installation surface for any debris, dirt, or unwanted attachments;
5) Ensure the motor bolt hole is appropriately larger than the bolt itself, allowing for bolt adjustment and motor alignment;
6) Prepare a sufficient number of pristine stainless steel gaskets to fully support the motor's feet. Gaskets must be immaculately clean and perfectly flat, avoiding long and narrow ones for proper adjustment;
7) Utilize a precise dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a 0.01mm accuracy (to be provided by the customer);
8) Equip yourself with a sturdy bracket for dial indicator support, as illustrated in the accompanying diagram;
9) Mount the motor wheel hub bracket to position a dial indicator on the hub's edge, with the probe poised on the compressor hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet's bolts to align the compressor and motor center lines impeccably, ensuring the outer circle deviation is a mere 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line positioned above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, and coupling end face deviation of just 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then meticulously review both the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling;
12) Following a successful motor idle test, reassemble the coupling's intermediate section.
3.3.4 Post-adjustment of casing 'levelness' and alignment, firmly tighten the anchor bolts. Following any mechanical operation or trial, release and retighten the bolts for continued reliability.
3.3.5 The impeller's high-speed rotation demands vigilance against solid or liquid contaminants, which could cause irreversible damage. Ensure pipelines linked to the compressor are immaculate and adhere to the requisite steam corrosion grade. Non-compliant pipelines must undergo immediate rectification. Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet to safeguard its function.
3.3.6 When installing the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes, adhere to the PI diagram for proper accessory placement. Support these pipelines with separate brackets, ensuring they do not bear on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its essential ancillary equipment are precisely installed, and the concrete foundation has reached full solidification, you can then embark on the meticulous compressor operation test. This ensures optimal performance and reliability of the entire system.
3.3.8 For seamless integration, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically installed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to this electric control cabinet should utilize threading pipes, designed to run discreetly underground. After positioning the electric control cabinet, it is crucial to meticulously connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet to the lines at the remote Distributed Control System (DCS), ensuring a flawless and efficient power distribution network.
