MVR, or Mechanical Vapor Recompression, represents an innovative leap in energy-saving technology. It significantly curtails the need for external energy inputs by ingeniously reutilizing the energy harnessed from secondary steam. At its core, this technology operates on a brilliant principle: the secondary steam produced by the evaporator undergoes compression through a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, resulting in an elevation of both the pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. This rise in thermal properties allows the secondary steam to be fed back into the evaporator, where it effectively heats the materials, inducing evaporation. Consequently, this remarkable process achieves a sustainable recycling of the latent heat of vaporization from the secondary steam, ensuring a dynamic and efficient energy cycle.
The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor embodies a sophisticated design, comprising essential components such as the compressor body, a precision coupling, an advanced gearbox, a robust lubrication system, a powerful motor, comprehensive electric instrumentation, and a state-of-the-art anti-surge control system. This compressor is engineered for excellence, offering a compact and efficient structure that simplifies maintenance and enhances operational reliability.
3.3.1 Begin by securely placing the compressor base onto the foundation. Ensure stability by positioning wedge-shaped shims beneath the base. These shims are essential for achieving perfect unit leveling.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once the unit is level, spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 points. This ensures steadfast support and alignment.
Wedges must be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific conditions, ensuring the contact surface is impeccably finished for even inclined plane contact.
It's crucial that the bearing capacity of the wedge iron does not exceed 40Kg/cm.2).
3.3.2 Utilize a precision level to ascertain perfect alignment. The axial level should adhere to a standard of 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level should not exceed 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 Achieve precise coupling alignment. Prior to commencing alignment, ensure the following checklist is complete:
1) Ensure the main power supply is completely switched off;
2) Detach the coupling shield with care;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling intermediate section securely;
4) Inspect the motor installation plane meticulously to ensure it is free from debris, dirt, and attachments;
5) Motor bolt holes must be sufficiently larger than the bolts to allow adjustments by loosening;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets to firmly pad the motor’s feet. Gaskets should be pristine and flat, avoiding thin or long alternatives for adjustment;
7) Use a high-precision dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which should be customer-provided;
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator, detailed in the illustration below;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to secure the dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, aligning the probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the motor feet’s bolts delicately to align the compressor and motor center lines precisely. Aim for a maximum deviation of 0.05mm for the outer circle and 0.03~0.05mm for the coupling end face. Ensure the motor shaft center line is slightly higher than the compressor’s low-speed shaft center line.
11) Once alignment is confirmed, tighten the motor foot bolts and review any outer circle and end face runout of the coupling.;
12) Following a successful motor idle test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section.
3.3.4 Following the precise adjustment of levelness and alignment, tighten the anchor bolts. Post mechanical or trial operation, bolts should be re-loosened and then re-tightened to ensure ultimate security.
3.3.5 Recognize the impeller as a high-speed rotating component. Any intrusion of solid or liquid can cause irreversible damage to the compressor. Hence, ensure that connecting pipelines are scrupulously clean and conform to the system's steam corrosion grade. Pipelines failing to meet these criteria must be promptly rectified.Incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe to ensure integrity.
3.3.6 Proceed with the installation of compressor inlet and outlet pipes. Install necessary pipeline accessories as per the PI diagram. The compressor must not bear the weight of the connected pipeline, so ensure it is supported by an independent bracket.
3.3.7 Once the majestic main fan and its essential ancillary components are impeccably installed, and the concrete base has reached full solidity, the stage is set to commence the seamless operation test of the compressor.
3.3.8 For optimal performance, the electric control cabinet of the compressor must be strategically installed within a convenient 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should be meticulously executed using threading pipes that elegantly traverse underground pathways. After positioning the electric control cabinet, ensure a flawless connection by linking the wiring terminals within the electric control cabinet to the lines at the distant DCS, ensuring a pristine and uninterrupted flow of power and control.
