The foundational principle of MVR involves the compression of secondary steam—produced by the evaporator—using a highly efficient steam compressor. This process transforms electrical energy into thermal energy, resulting in an increase in both pressure and temperature of the secondary steam. This enhanced steam is then redirected back to the evaporator, where it plays a crucial role in heating materials and facilitating evaporation. Ultimately, this process allows for the recycling of latent heat of vaporization from the secondary steam, ensuring an optimized and sustainable operation.
The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering, comprising key components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrument, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Designed with a focus on efficiency, this compressor boasts a compact structure that not only saves space but also simplifies maintenance processes. It's an ideal solution catering to the sophisticated needs of modern industrial applications.
3.3.1 Begin by carefully positioning the compressor base on its designated foundation. Ensure precision by placing wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to achieve perfect leveling for optimal operation.
With alternating placement of these shims, level the unit meticulously. Secure them with spot welds at 4-5 points, ensuring a robust foundation for your setup.
These wedges should be custom-fabricated and installed by the user to suit specific conditions. Ensure uniform contact across inclined planes to maintain integrity.
The load-bearing capacity of each wedge iron must not exceed 40 Kg/cm2to preserve structural soundness.
3.3.2 Utilize a high-precision level to achieve the unit's levelness. The axial level should be precisely 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal level must be 0.10/1000mm for optimal performance.
Ensure these standards are met to guarantee flawless operation.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment. Before aligning, ensure the following preparatory steps are executed:
1) Securely turn off the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access essential components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for clear access;
4) Verify the motor installation plane's flatness, ensuring it's free from debris or any obstructions;
5) Ensure motor bolt holes are sized larger than the bolts to allow for necessary adjustments.
6) Have ample stainless steel gaskets ready to support the motor's base. These should be free from attachments and perfectly flat for seamless adjustment.
7) Employ a dial indicator or a laser alignment meter with precision down to 0.01mm, sourced by the customer.
8) Prepare a sturdy bracket to support the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying diagram.
9) Use the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to position the dial indicator on the edge of the wheel hub, ensuring the probe accurately tracks the compressor wheel hub's outer edge.
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet strategically to align the compressor and motor center lines precisely, keeping deviation within 0.05mm. Ensure the motor shaft center line is slightly higher than the compressor low-speed shaft center.
11) Conclude by securely tightening the motor foot bolts and rechecking the coupling's outer circle and end face runout for discrepancies.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section after conducting a successful motor idling test.
3.3.4 Once the casing's levelness and alignment are set, tighten all anchor bolts securely. Post mechanical operation or trial, loosen and retighten bolts to ensure lasting stability.
3.3.5 Given the impeller's high-speed operations, it is crucial to prevent solid or liquid ingress which could irrevocably damage the compressor. Keep inlet and outlet pipelines pristine and meeting steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification.Adding solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe is strongly recommended.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Follow the PI diagram meticulously to include all relevant pipeline accessories. Ensure pipelines are independently supported and do not burden the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and all its associated equipment have been meticulously installed and the concrete base has been allowed to fully set and solidify, it is time to embark on the exciting journey of conducting the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is in perfect working order, ready to deliver optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet of the compressor should be strategically placed within a 5-meter radius of the compressor. For a seamless connection, the wiring must be meticulously threaded through underground pipes from the compressor to the electric control cabinet. Upon positioning the electric control cabinet, it is essential to link the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the remote DCS lines, ensuring a flawless integration into the system.
