Installation Instructions

3.3.1 For optimal installation, place the steam compressor's base integrally on the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure precise leveling of the unit.
Arrange two wedge-shaped irons alternately. Once leveling is confirmed, spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points. This ensures stability.
Users need to produce and position the wedges based on their specific conditions. The contact surfaces must be finely finished to guarantee even contact on the inclined planes.
The bearing capacity of each wedge iron should remain below 40Kg/cm
2).
3.3.2 Accurate leveling is essential. Utilize a level to achieve precision. The unit's axial level must meet a stringent standard of 0.05/1000mm, with a horizontal level at 0.10/1000mm.

3.3.3 Attain perfect alignment of the coupling. Prior to beginning alignment, ensure all preliminary conditions are fulfilled:
1) Disconnect the main power source to ensure safety;
2) Detach the coupling shield for easy access;
3) Remove the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Check the motor's installation plane for cleanliness, ensuring it's free from debris or attachments;
5) Make sure the motor's bolt holes are larger than the bolts themselves, allowing necessary adjustments by loosening bolts;
6) Prepare stainless steel gaskets to cover the motor foot adequately. Ensure these gaskets are free from attachments and avoid using long, thin gaskets for adjustments.
7) Use a highly accurate dial indicator or laser alignment meter with a precision of 0.01mm. This tool should be procured by the customer.
8) Secure the dial indicator with the appropriate supporting bracket as shown in the illustration;

9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket to place a dial indicator properly, ensuring meticulous alignment of the compressor wheel hub's outer edge;
10) Adjust the bolts around the motor feet to bring the compressor and motor center lines in perfect harmony. Allow no more than 0.05mm deviation in the outer circle, and a coupling end face deviation between 0.03 and 0.05mm.

11) Once alignment is achieved, firmly secure the motor foot bolts, reviewing both the outer circle and end face runout of the coupling;
12) After a successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling's intermediate section to complete the setup.
3.3.4 Post-alignment, secure the casing's anchor bolts. After trial mechanical operation, release and retighten the bolts to secure the arrangement.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed component, must be shielded from solids or liquids, which could cause irreversible damage. Ensure the inlet and outlet pipelines are immaculate and meet the system's steam corrosion standards. If not, rectify promptly.
Consider installing solid-liquid separation equipment like a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee before the compressor inlet's straight pipe.
3.3.6 Secure the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Adhere strictly to the PI diagram for installing relevant pipeline accessories. Crucially, support the connected pipeline with an external bracket, avoiding undue weight on the compressor body.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its accompanying ancillary equipment are securely installed and the concrete foundation has fully solidified, it is then possible to initiate the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures that everything is in prime condition and ready for optimal performance.
3.3.8 The electric control cabinet for the compressor must be strategically positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. For seamless connectivity, ensure that the wiring from the compressor to the electric control cabinet is meticulously threaded through underground piping. Once the electric control cabinet is perfectly situated, proceed to connect the wiring terminals within the cabinet to the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring a robust and reliable operational setup.
