The DM series Single-stage Geared Steam Compressor is an engineering triumph, featuring a meticulously integrated suite of components: the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instrumentation, and a sophisticated anti-surge control system. Its design boasts a remarkably compact structure, facilitating effortless maintenance and ensuring seamless operation. This compressor is a testament to efficiency, setting new standards in reliability and ease of use.
3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor's robust base integrally on the foundation. Utilize wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to meticulously adjust the unit's level.
Expertly alternate two wedge-shaped irons. Once perfectly leveled, securely spot weld the irons at 4~5 strategic points, creating a steadfast foundation.
Users should craft and install the wedge with precision based on the actual conditions. The contact surface must be finely finished to ensure uniform contact with the inclined plane.
Wedge iron's bearing capacity is crucial and should never exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precise level to achieve impeccable leveling. The axial precision requirement is 0.05/1000mm, while the unit's horizontal level parameters are set to 0.10/1000mm.
Ensuring these specifications guarantees optimal operational performance.
3.3.3 Perfect the coupling alignment with these preparatory steps:
1) Securely turn off the main power supply for utmost safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling intermediate section for better handling;
4) Ensure the motor installation plane is spotless, free of debris and attachments for smooth operations;
5) Motor bolt holes must be adequately larger than the bolts, allowing easy adjustments during motor alignment;
6) Equip yourself with ample stainless steel gaskets to perfectly cushion the motor foot, ensuring they are flat and free from attachments. Avoid using long thin gaskets for adjustment.
7) A dial indicator or laser alignment meter with 0.01mm accuracy is essential for precision (customer provided);
8) Prepare the specified bracket to support the dial indicator effectively as illustrated below;
9) The motor wheel hub bracket facilitates precise mounting of the dial indicator, ensuring accurate readings on the compressor wheel hub.
10) Achieve exact alignment by adjusting bolts around the motor feet. Align the compressor and motor center line, ensuring the maximum deviation on the outer circle is 0.05mm and the coupling end face deviation is 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts and reevaluate both outer circle runout and end face runout for coupling precision;
12) Post successful motor idling test, reinstall the coupling intermediate section, completing the alignment.
3.3.4 After achieving the perfect 'levelness' and alignment of the casing, fasten the anchor bolts securely. Post mechanical operation or trial, re-torque bolts ensuring optimum stability.
3.3.5 The impeller spins at high velocity, thus safeguarding it from solid or liquid incursion is vital to prevent irreversible compressor damage. Ensure inlet and outlet pipelines are impeccably clean and adhere to the system's steam corrosion grade standards. Non-compliant pipelines must be rectified immediately.Adding gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees before the compressor inlet is recommended for enhanced protection.
3.3.6 Install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes with precision. Follow the PI diagram to incorporate the necessary pipeline accessories. Support the connected pipelines with a dedicated bracket, ensuring the compressor body bears no weight.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supplementary equipment are meticulously installed and the concrete foundation has fully set to ensure stability, it is time to proceed with the compressor operation test. This step is crucial to validate the seamless integration and functioning of our state-of-the-art equipment.
3.3.8 For optimal performance and safety, the electric control cabinet for the compressor must be positioned within a 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. The connection from the compressor to the electric control cabinet should utilize a threading pipe routed underground, ensuring a neat and secure installation. Once the electric control cabinet is strategically set in place, it is imperative to meticulously connect the wiring terminals in the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, guaranteeing a reliable and efficient operational setup.
