The DM series Single-stage geared steam compressor is a marvel of engineering featuring a meticulously designed compressor body, a robust coupling, a precision-engineered gearbox, an efficient lubrication system, a powerful motor, sophisticated electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its architecture is characterized by a compact structure that not only enhances its performance but also ensures that maintenance is straightforward and hassle-free.
3.3.1 Begin by seamlessly integrating the compressor base onto the foundation. Artfully position wedge-shaped shims beneath the base to ensure the unit is impeccably leveled.
Place the wedge-shaped irons in an alternating sequence. Once the unit is perfectly leveled, skillfully spot weld the wedges at 4 to 5 strategic points.
The wedges should be crafted and installed by the user, tailored to the specific situation. Ensure the contact surfaces are finely finished for even engagement.
The inclined planes must be in perfect contact, ensuring the wedge iron's bearing capacity does not exceed 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to achieve perfect alignment. The axial level precision should be 0.05/1000mm, while the horizontal plane should not deviate beyond 0.10/1000mm.
3.3.3 For flawless coupling alignment, observe these prerequisites:
1) Disengage the main power supply to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section;
4) Verify the motor's installation plane flatness, ensuring the absence of debris, grime, or any unwanted attachments;
5) The motor bolt holes should exceed the bolt's dimensions, allowing for the bolts to be loosened for optimal motor adjustment;
6) Equip yourself with adequate stainless steel gaskets to cushion the motor feet. These gaskets must be pristine and perfectly flat. Avoid using elongated or thin gaskets for motor base adjustments;
7) Utilize either a dial indicator or a laser alignment tool offering a 0.01mm accuracy (provided by the customer);
8) Have a supporting bracket ready for the dial indicator as depicted in the following diagram;
9) Make use of the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for fitting a dial indicator on the wheel hub's edge, ensuring the probe surveys the compressor wheel hub's exterior edge;
10) Precisely adjust the bolts around the motor feet, aligning the compressor and motor center lines. The maximal outer circle deviation should not surpass 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center higher than the compressor's low-speed shaft center, and coupling end face within 0.03~0.05mm.
11) Securely tighten the motor foot bolts, then thoroughly review both the outer circle and end face runouts of the coupling.;
12) Reinstall the coupling intermediate section post successful motor idling tests.
3.3.4 With the casing's levelness and alignment impeccably adjusted, firmly secure the anchor bolts. Post mechanical operations or trials, it is crucial to release, then retighten these bolts.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-velocity rotating element, is vulnerable to any solid or liquid ingress, risking irreversible damage. Ensure the compressor's connecting pipelines are pristinely clean and conform to the system's steam corrosion standards. Non-compliant pipelines necessitate immediate rectification.Incorporating solid-liquid separation devices, such as gas scrubbers or sedimentation tees, before the compressor inlet's straight pipe is highly advisable for optimal protection.
3.3.6 Proceed to install the compressor's inlet and outlet pipes. Align them with relevant pipeline accessories as illustrated in the PI diagram. Ensure the compressor-supporting brackets bear the pipeline's weight rather than relying on the compressor itself.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment are fully installed and the concrete foundation has reached complete solidity, you're ready to proceed with the compressor operation test. This crucial step ensures everything is functioning optimally, setting the stage for superior performance and reliability.
3.3.8 For optimal functionality, position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a convenient 5-meter radius from the compressor itself. Ensure seamless integration by threading the wiring through pipes that are strategically placed underground. Once the electric control cabinet is securely in place, meticulously connect the wiring terminals to the lines at the remote DCS, paving the way for a smooth and efficient operation.
