The DM series Single-stage geard steam compressor is a masterpiece of engineering, incorporating essential components such as the compressor body, coupling, gearbox, lubrication system, motor, electric instruments, and an advanced anti-surge control system. Its design is a triumph of compactness and convenience, ensuring easy maintenance while delivering robust performance. 3.3.1 Begin by placing the compressor base integrally on the foundation. Carefully position wedge-shaped shims under the base, which are essential for adjusting the unit to achieve perfect level alignment.
Next, alternate the positioning of two wedge-shaped irons. Once the unit is leveled, secure these irons by spot welding at 4 to 5 strategic points, ensuring unmatched stability. The wedge must be
custom-made and installed by the user, tailored to the actual conditions encountered. The contact surface should be meticulously finished for even distribution of contact across the inclined plane,
and the wedge iron should support a maximum bearing capacity not exceeding 40Kg/cm2).
3.3.2 Employ a precision level to verify the unit's positioning. The leveling parameters demand that the unit's axial level is maintained at an impressive 0.05/1000mm, with the horizontal level at an equally stringent 0.10/1000mm.
This ensures optimal performance and longevity.
3.3.3 Achieve perfect coupling alignment by adhering to the following steps:
1) Disengage the primary power source to ensure safety;
2) Carefully remove the coupling shield to access the components;
3) Detach the diaphragm coupling's intermediate section to facilitate alignment;
4) Examine the motor's installation plane for flatness, removing any debris or contaminants to maintain a pristine surface;
5) Ensure the motor bolt holes are slightly larger than the bolts to allow for adjustments. This flexibility is crucial for precise motor alignment;
6) Have an ample supply of stainless steel gaskets on hand to cover the motor's feet. These gaskets should be immaculate and perfectly flat, avoiding elongated or thin variations that could compromise the installation;
7) Utilize a dial indicator or laser alignment meter with an accuracy of 0.01mm, which the customer should provide, for unparalleled precision;
8) Prepare the supporting bracket for the dial indicator as illustrated in the accompanying figure;
9) Employ the motor wheel hub mounting bracket for positioning a dial indicator along the wheel hub's edge, while positioning the indicator probe on the compressor wheel hub's outer periphery;
10) By diligently adjusting the bolts around the motor's feet, align the compressor and motor center lines meticulously. The maximum allowable deviation for the outer circle is 0.05mm, with the motor shaft center line strategically elevated above the compressor's low-speed shaft center line, while maintaining a coupling end face deviation within 0.03~0.05mm;
11) Conclude the alignment process by firmly tightening the motor foot bolts and conducting a meticulous review of the coupling's outer circle and end face runout parameters;
12) After completing an idle test of the motor, seamlessly reinstall the coupling's intermediate section to finalize the process.
3.3.4 Having perfected the 'levelness' and alignment, securely tighten the anchor bolts. Following a mechanical operation or trial run, loosen and re-tighten these bolts to ensure steadfast stability.
3.3.5 The impeller, a high-speed rotating marvel, must remain safeguarded from any intruding solids or liquids, as these could inflict irreparable harm to the compressor. It is imperative that the connected inlet and outlet pipelines are pristine and compliant with the system's steam corrosion grade standards. Non-compliant pipelines require immediate rectification,and it is recommended to incorporate solid-liquid separation equipment, such as a gas scrubber or sedimentation tee, before the straight pipe at the compressor's entrance.
3.3.6 Skillfully install the compressor inlet and outlet pipes. According to the PI diagram, equip the import and export pipelines with the appropriate accessories. Ensure that the pipeline attached to the compressor is supported independently by an additional bracket, as its weight must not burden the compressor body, preserving its integrity and performance.
3.3.7 Once the main fan and its supporting equipment are securely installed, and the concrete has reached full solidification, you are ready to conduct a comprehensive operational test of the compressor.
3.3.8 Position the electric control cabinet of the compressor within a strategic 5-meter radius of the compressor itself. Ensure that the wiring linking the compressor and the electric control cabinet is expertly connected via a threading pipe, routed underground for safety and efficiency. Upon installing the electric control cabinet, seamlessly integrate the wiring terminals within the cabinet with the lines at the remote DCS, ensuring optimal connectivity and performance.
